He's sort of "Meh" compared to Browne & Saints guy from Ashville

But yes it does appear we will take 2

Also of note, likely means we won't be landing him but Kelvin Taylor has been posting all day on Twitter apparently that he will take a OV to UF this weekend then announce his decision...so I'm guessing UF?

I doubt we could pull both Browne and Hackenberg so Ferguson is likely the #2 slot target.

Hmmm, you got in early but you are rated as cool on 247. Guess the tiggers need to work a little harder so as not to be first-in first-out.

He's not really a hot topic right now. We are eyeing a few Texas QB's.
Fwiw don't put much into that cool warm crap. a site mod could change that whenever they want. I wouldn't be surprised of BOL changed it today just because of the offer

I don't but it was just easy pickins for a way to poke at you a little. Can't poke too much tho since you are one of the better LSWhooligans.

Taylor is definitely going to Florida, and that is perfectly fine. We got Tenpenny and we will probably add another RB in this class. Hopefully Tyren Jones, that kid is a baller.

Imo McCrary is before Ferguson for the number 2 slot if we do take 2 QB's.

He may be a realistic #2, but Hackenberg and Browne are the top 2 targets.

Agreed. I'd be really happy with Browne or Hackenberg. Personally I like Hackenberg a little better than Browne and he seems to be more of a realisitic option than Browne imo. I know there was all the hype after we offered Browne, but I just don't see a kid coming from that far unless he definitely wants to be here and play for Nuss.

Got this from the 247 Blue Board. This is a quote from current FSU DT commit Maquedius Bain:

quote:

"I wouldn't say my commitment to FSU is that strong right now. I am getting some new offers in, I want to see what other schools are like, and I just saw Florida State sign a bunch of defensive linemen in this class. "They signed a lot last year too, so they have a lot coming back, a lot of new guys coming in, and the depth chart looks a little different to me now. "I still like the overall program, they have good academics there, and I stay in contact with Coach Haggins, but I am going to visit other schools." What schools does Bain want to see? "Miami and Alabama are the schools I am thinking about mostly right now," said the Fort Lauderdale (FL) University star. "I get a ton of mail from those two schools, they are showing me a lot interest, and they are two I really want to visit." Right now, Bain is just looking for that perfect fit. Academics have to be right, but getting on the field early could be what leads him to that school in the end. "I have not de-committed to Florida State yet, but I am really thinking about it. I just want to play as a freshman and have a real chance to start as a freshman. I will go to a school in state or out of state, I just want to find the best one."

Yeah, I just find it odd that he mentioned Bama and early playing time. Plus our DL class is gonna be crazy this year.

Interesting prospect, kind of under the radar since he was smaller last year and played a role as a blocking TE, has gained weight to play OL this year, same HS as Dakota Ball, says he grew up a UGA fan, still no offer from the Dawgs

Good Q&A article on Max Browne from Washington paper Issaquah Reporter - LINK

2 stand out SEC schools he mentions are us and Arkansas (said he wants to visit both) also talks about how close he and his family are to Coach Nussmeier, and timeline for announcing.

We talked to Whitewright Head Football Coach Jack Wylie tonight to inquire about Tyrone's visit this weekend and he had some, dare I say, information that completely legitimizes Swoopes as a top tier national prospect. Coach Wylie said Swoopes talked to Corch Urban Meyer today and got the full-on Tebow-laced sales pitch. And that's not all folks, Coach Wylie said Alabama's Nick Saban is putting on the full-court press to land the young QB out of Whitewright.

Do you see a pattern developing here? Anyone that tells you Tyrone is not the top QB prospect in the state or a potential 5 star needs to have his head examined. Anyone saying this kid isn't a full-on baller is putting his or her neck on the guillotine. If you don't remember The Cigar's report from last month, he said Harsin was absolutely floored by this kid's ability in the 3 day summer session as well as during the season so at least our staff is on the right side of the talent evaluation line on this one.

Coach Wylie went on to say that Swoopes said maybe four things to Coach Saban and three of them were "Yes, sir." Saban probably intimidated the young man but he was much more talkative with Meyer we were told.

More importantly, Coach Wylie told us that Texas has said they will extend an offer this weekend but it's doubtful Swoopes will commit on the spot because Bama and tOSU are squarely in the mix. In fact, it's probably a four horse race, because we're told Swoopes' mother wants him to visit Stanford before things are said and done.

I'm not exactly sure how he fits in our system.

I would guess as a receiver.

The Aggies on here were pretty much counting him as a commit yesterday. No mention of them in that little blurb.

Just going off what you quoted from that article, it sounds like Ohio, Texas and then Alabama.
