I wonder if that means the staff isn't confident in Bateman. No way both of those guys end up at the same school.

I just think it means they are going to hard after a top flight QB until they land one.

We've asked around on this. Duron is still in Tuscaloosa working out and he's enrolled for summer classes beginning at the end of the month.

I doubt he ever sees the field as part of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Ritter does. He sees all the horrible things Rantards say about him, so he fricks them over in games.

Class of 2014 standout Jalen Hurd received an offer from Alabama head coach Nick Saban last week. He currently has the Crimson Tide in his list of top-three schools. The athlete called Saban on the phone last week and was thrilled when the head coach told him of the offer.
"It's just amazing to hear Nick Saban on the phone," Hurd said. "Just the whole recruiting process, it's really shocking to me. I was definitely not expecting any of this until my junior or senior year."
Saban said he is not sure where he sees Hurd yet, telling him the school was recruiting him as an athlete as of now. During the call, Saban raved about the 6-foot-3, 210-pound athlete's catching ability and footwork.
Hurd said he would like to play the running back at the next level, but would be open to move another position if asked by coaches.
Alabama joins in-state schools Tennessee and Vanderbilt on the Hendersonville, Tenn., native's top list. Hurd said he likes all schools equally and each one brings something great to the table.
Alabama
"They just came off a national championship," Hurd said. "I can definitely see myself playing at that school."
Tennessee
"I've always been a big UT fan," Hurd said. " Just growing up around the school, they have always been a really good program."
Vanderbilt
"Coach (James) Franklin is doing an amazing job with the program," Hurd said. "I feel like they are increasing, and they are going to be a great football team. They also have a great academic program as well."
Hurd was in Tuscaloosa for Alabama's A-Day and came away thoroughly impressed by the facilities the team has to offer. He plans on visiting Tuscaloosa again sometime this summer as well as possibly attending a camp in Florida.
"It was outstanding to see how advanced the facilities are over there," Hurd said. "They have practice field that can make it rain, that is just astonishing - you do not see that everywhere."

The success of Courtney Upshaw at the Jack linebacker position has Alabama coaches searching for the next star defender. The proposition is easier said than done, as Upshaw excelled at the spot to the point where Alabama coaches mention to recruits they could be the "next Courtney Upshaw."
Alabama has recently shown interest in three-star defensive end Paul James out of Miami, Fla., and view the versatile defender as someone who could fill Upshaw's shoes in the future.
The 6-foot-2, 242-pounder calls Alabama his "dream offer."
"I've been getting a lot of attention from Alabama," James said. "They like how I play the Courtney Upshaw position. At the next level that's probably where they see me playing. I feel comfortable at it."
The 6-foot-2, 242-pound defender has Alabama on top of his top-six list of schools which also includes Miami, Florida State, Kansas, Marshall and Tennessee. James plans to announce his commitment at the end of his senior season.
"Alabama was my dream offer," James said. "Ever since I got in football, they have been one of the top schools I have been interested in going to."
One reason the Crimson Tide stands on top for James is its successful defense, which he said he is excited to play in if he chooses to commit.
"I love it," James said. "It is something we work with here at Norland, and I'd like to continue playing with it. Just their program, I watch it all the time on YouTube, and I say I just can't wait to visit. "
Jones plans to take a visit to Tuscaloosa sometime this summer to participate in one of Alabama's summer camps.
The visit will be James' first to Alabama. James, who said education would be the leading factor in where he decides to commit, is most excited about seeing the campus and how classes are run at UA during his visit.
James also plans to visit Marshal, FSU and Wisconsin during the summer.
