Per ESPN :

quote:
Robert Nkemdiche wants to visit Texas.
He doesn’t know when he’d do so and hasn’t had much contact with Texas coaches lately, but the elite junior defensive end from Loganville (Ga.) Grayson told HornsNation he is interested in seeing UT.
Nkemdiche is arguably the top 2013 recruit in the country and is considering Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Clemson and Georgia among his favorite schools so far. Still, he’s willing to give Texas a chance.
Texas offensive line coach Stacy Searels is Nkemdiche’s lead recruiter and got to know the 6-foot-5, 265-pound end well during his time coaching at Georgia from 2007 to 2010.
On March 6, Nkemdiche posted on his Twitter account (@electus_1) that Texas “need to show me some love so I know they want me.” Shortly after that, Searels got back in touch with him.
“I haven’t talked to him for a while, but he messaged me on Facebook and I wrote back,” Nkemdiche said. “He’s a good dude, I like him. We have a pretty good relationship. He wants me to check Texas out. He’s been recruiting me pretty good.”
Though there has been speculation Nkemdiche wanted to announce a decision on May 18, that no longer appears to be the plan. If he can, he’d like to become more familiar with a handful of schools outside his region.
“I want to see Texas, Oregon and some of the California schools on the West Coast,” he said.
Why Texas?
“Just because it’s different. I want to see how it is over there. It’ll be fun,” he said. “They’re one of the places I want to look at.”
The Longhorns are a longshot, no doubt, compared to the schools Nkemdiche already favors. He’s visited all five of those expected leaders, and his brother, Denzel, is a freshman defensive back at Ole Miss.
The longer his recruitment drags out, though, the better Texas’ chances get of getting Nkemdiche to make an official or unofficial visit.
“It’s wide open,” he said. “I haven’t really decided anything. I’m keeping my ears open for everybody.”
He doesn’t know when he’ll start thinking about setting a date for a trip to Austin. Right now, being the most highly sought after recruit in the nation is keeping him plenty busy.
“I’m just kind of stressed out, man,” Nkemdiche said. “I’m trying to keep my head on straight. I’m just staying humble. Everybody is interested in me, but it gets overwhelming. I guess it is what it is.”

Also on ESPN about Foster:
quote:
Under Armour All-American Reuben Foster is on the move.
The 6-foot-2, 242-pound inside linebacker is transferring from LaGrange (Ga.) Troup County High School to Auburn (Ala.) High School.
Foster, a longtime Alabama commitment and future five-star prospect, will attend class and play football just miles away from the Crimson Tide’s most heated rival. He has already moved and will start classes Thursday.
At Auburn High, Foster joins Blaise Taylor, son of Auburn assistant Trooper Taylor, and quarterback Cameron Echols-Luper, son of Tigers running backs coach Curtis Luper -- but Foster said his new home isn’t a factor in recruitment.
“This was really difficult because I had to worry about what the Alabama coaches and Alabama fans want, but I made this decision for myself and my family,” Foster said. “I will play hard at Auburn [High School] and do what is best for me.”
Foster, who was born in Roanoke, Ala., said there weren’t any ulterior motives behind his transfer.
“I go to Auburn High School, and I am right by the Auburn campus, but people need to realize I am going to Alabama and that is where I committed to,” Foster said.
Former Troup head coach Charles Flowers was let go back in February, and Foster was one of two dozen players who protested during school by walking out. He says that is not the sole reason for his departure.
“I wanted to graduate early and they did my coach wrong, so there were two situations that lead me to move,” he said. “Coach Flowers is a good, caring man, and I could not graduate early there anyway. Me and my mom looked up the rules to see how we could do it correctly, and we got my counselor involved as well."
After looking at several high schools in Georgia and Alabama, Foster said a former scrimmage partner helped with the decision.
“I know Coach Trooper’s son from when we played against them in the preseason, and so I called him and he said good things about the school,” Foster said of Blaise Taylor. “So I looked it up online and told my momma that we should go look and see if the school was what it seemed, and we went from there.
Foster emerged as a national prospect after his freshman highlights hit the web, and he has amassed more than 400 tackles the last three years, including 185 tackles and 18 sacks as a junior last fall.
He committed to Alabama over Auburn and Georgia last July, but his decision did little to cool down his recruitment. Subsequent visits to other programs added fuel to the fire. All three of the college coaching staffs have been in contact recently with Foster, all giving their approval for Foster’s move.
“I spoke with Alabama, Auburn and Georgia a lot, and the Alabama coaches said they knew I picked Auburn for a reason,” Foster said. “I spoke to the Georgia coaches yesterday, and they said they really do not care where I go, they just wanted me to do the best and I appreciated that. I spoke to Auburn recently, too, and they said good things about the high school, but I think they are just trying to get me close by.”

I still think we get him in the end, but I don't think he will commit to us first.
I almost think he would rather go somewhere else just to spite everyone who assumed he was a lock to go to Bama.

DAMN ANOTHER AUBIE WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
J/K Welcome
P.S. My Bama brethren, learning of recent events involving Foster, should we ALSO make a pact about Foster with AU fans, like we did with UGA fans?
Posted on 4/11/12 at 7:57 pm to Robot Santa
We need to get Bosa REAL SOON
Also I know we all have a certain level of confidence in this matter and in our staff's recruiting abilities, and we should, but this situation REEKS of similar circumstances to Jameis Winston

You can leave me out of the pact. I really just bring him up for fun. I have no doubt Foster is all Bama. I truly believe Saban has planted Foster in Auburn to offset any recruiting done by Auburn on common recruiting targets.
OK that's BS too I really don't believe that he was planted, but I wondered if ITAT people have ran with that yet?

Yeah I dont think any Auburn fan on here truly believes we'll flip Foster.

The pact wasn't regarding you buddy, you're pretty solid
I won't get into a pissing contest at all, but I will say I believe EVERY poster serves an important purpose on this board & I appreciate all of you for it, and surprisingly (kinda shocking to me as well
). The Aubies aren't as whiny, argumentative as some other fanbases on here, you guys have your fringe group like every fanbase, but for the most part good contributions

I was wondering about him too, but I was asking about Foster in the Auburn thread. Of course we now know he's not going to any spring games this weekend.
