I'd say the same for you, but I don't think I've read a single post of yours.

Highly unlikely.

right...because i'm not a regular poster. i do read this board for information though, and it's pretty hard to avoid your insecurity in bama threads.

*** The Daily Roll Call: Suspended wide receivers Duron Carter, Ronald Carswell and Michael Bowman continue to miss practice. None have been available since spring drills began. ... Injured offensive lineman Arie Kouandjio (knee) was operating a stationary bike Friday. Injured running backs Eddie Lacy and Blake Sims were not participating in individual drills.
*** With the team scrimmaging tomorrow, UA was only in half-pads/shorts Friday. Rainy weather forced the team into the indoor practice facility.
*** Freshman running back T.J. Yeldon had his left wrist heavily bandaged from his forearm to his palm Friday. Could be anything from a forearm to a wrist to a thumb problem, but he was going through drills like all the other backs and didn't appear to be any worse off for it. If he's not quite right for the scrimmage, Jalston Fowler and Dee Hart will be all the more involved.
*** The dime defense took the field for recognition drills Friday with John Fulton and Deion Belue handling the outside corner spots, and Dee Milliner working inside at the Star position, covering slot receivers. The three safeties involved were Robert Lester and Vinnie Sunseri, along with Hasean Clinton-Dix working the deep part of the field. From what we've both seen and heard, it appears Belue is ahead of Travell Dixon right now.
*** No changes up front on the offensive line with a starting group including (L-R) Cyrus Kouandjio, Chance Warmack, Barrett Jones, Anthony Steen, and D.J. Fluker.
*** Although there was no indication of this during the media viewing period, we're told the trio of Christion Jones, Kenny Bell and Kevin Norwood has been working in the three-receiver set of late. We may be able to get a better handle on that Saturday at the first scrimmage, where we generally see more personnel groupings than we do during a regular practice.
*** It's quite a sight to see a 6-foot-6 player working in secondary coverage, but that's exactly what OLB Adrian Hubbard was doing when the dime defense was working recognition drills. You may recall Jerrell Harris often got on the field in the dime look for his pass coverage skills. If you thought a 6-6 guy like Hubbard was just a pass rusher, think again. He appeared to be working in the same dime role Harris once had, whether covering the flats or the short-range middle. It's a definite testament to Hubbard's athleticism even to be placed in a position like that. If nothing else, his height and length would allow him to defend a pass even if he's beaten by a step. If you can do that, the rest is mental.
*** Saw WR Marvin Shinn make an outstanding catch on a pass from Phillip Sims. The QBs threw some deeper routes during individual drills Friday, which isn't uncommon when the team practices indoors.
*** Speaking of wide receivers, DeAndrew White looked better again Friday. White is practicing through a hamstring problem, but he hasn't been withheld from contact yet. The third-year sophomore appeared to go through some drills full-speed Friday, but not all.
*** Quick note left over from Pro Day: Former UA QB Rob Ezell, he of the famous Saban impression, said he's headed to Colorado State to work with WRs as a GA under Jim McElwain.
And per Gil Brandt(well respected former scout), Trent ran a 4.47 and a 4.48 at his Pro Day. Trent also apparently did a interview on 97.3 in which he said he told the scouts he was only doing 25 reps on the bench. He said it wasn't that important to him to prove it and risk it hampering him the rest of day with drill work. The Combine holds the bench press and drills on separate days for 1 position. So it makes sense for him to say that, not that 25 is nothing...

Is Bama going to offer Carlos Burse?

I'm not sure what direction they going in, especially in the Falkins info is correct. There aren't any high profile receivers that are heavily favoring Bama to turn Falkins away, although there is probably limited space for WRs(although Bama is expected to take a full class).

Anything interesting in the 247 article on Deon Johnson?
Posted on 3/30/12 at 9:33 pm to sarc
I haven't read the article, but he did move up to #209 in the country in the rankings update released today.
Posted on 3/30/12 at 9:43 pm to TideSaint
Some believe DJ is the best WR in the state, I've also heard be might possibly be a sign and place.

Yeah Andrew Bone is very high on Deon. But other than him, I literally haven't heard anyone talking about him. I don't know anything about his recruitment

Apparently 247 has some interest on him, as I believe they moved him up to 7th best in the state and 209th in the nation(as Saint said). BOL wrote something on him today, the 1st in a while regarding him. Rivals has literally nothing on him, other than listing him as a camp name.
According to Alabama Intel, which I still don't know who the hell these guys are, he has offers from Bama, LSU, Nebraska, and Louisville. That was 3 months ago though, so he could have more or less now.

I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago so I did a little research.
William Barger (former Alabama player) and Scott Moore are the two names that appear to be the face of the web site. Barger has a background in real estate development and radio. Scott Moore has a background in regional tv and radio as well as writing for Scout.com.
There are 3 other names behind the group. Doug Moore (looks to be Scott's father) Magazine publisher and one of the founders of Scout.com. Pam Fetterolf a Birmingham based lawyer. And the 3rd is Joe Maggio who does video production and has a company the specializes in marketing HS players to small colleges.

Had to catch up on about 40 pages of this thread. You guys continue to roll.
A couple of comments/questions
The Tesla coil thing was awesome. Great find and thanks for it. Rap fan but love Skynard
If the Zeke Pike thing is true, it's awesome. Probably the best score he'll ever make in life.
Jonathon Allen is a beast and since I live in VA, I'll have to take a trip to get a look at him in person. Fridays are going to be fun this year with the way VA is loaded. Question about Allen and the SAM/Jack positions. To me Allen is a perfect candidate for Jack though there are questions as to whether he'll carry the weight of the past or current Jacks. Granted it seems Nkemdiche is the Jack for this class but I think he'll end up with his hand down eventually. Are you guys really recruiting Allen as a SAM or just recruiting him and find the right spot later? Seems odd to waste his natural pass rush ability by dropping him in coverage. Just curious. Also curious as to which LB spot you guys are looking at Beckwith for? He's an OLB surely for you guys but I think he lacks the speed and fluidity to drop in coverage much so that leaves Jack but that seems destined for Nkemdiche and Allen. Basically my question is, how high is he really on the Bama board? My opinion is not as high as he and many LSU fans think. Thanks to anyone/everyone that can help me out here and give me some scoop or thoughts.

I should have noticed the "About Us" page when I first saw the site. They have more than enough credibility, tons more than I would have thought. I do find it kinda funny that they list Scott Moore's talent of impersonation in his bio

I like Allen at jack as well. Upshaw was not very heavy when he started out. I think Allen could be up to 235 240 by the time he's a freshman.

Allen could be, and should be, a Jack in Bama's defense

I think the SAM assumption with Allen has to do with the recruitments of Nkemdiche and Liner more than fact. Unless there is a 247 article in which he mentions SAM, which I don't know because I don't have 247. People just want to fit everyone in as a possible square peg to a round hole, rather than have potentially him, Nkemdiche and Liner all logjamming JACK. And no, I'm not saying Liner or Nkemdiche will be at Bama. Just a hypothetical.
Although Coach Lance Thompson has stressed he believes JACK and SAM are mirror positions, with JACK being heavier and SAM being more athletic with some coverage responsibility. Bama really hasn't had a pass rush option at SAM to verify that as neither Cory Reamer, Chavis Williams, or Jerrell Harris were rushers. Then again, that might not be a coincidence and what Saban prefers. He does come from Belichick's tree, and Belichick doesn't just put 2 pure passrushers out there in his 34.
I can't answer your Beckwith question, as I have no pro Bama info on him. What I know is mostly from memphis...
