Wow, that's amazing. He went so under the radar coming out of high school.
It''s because he played OG his Junior year and LB his Senior year. He was too small to play either at the college level, even though he was All-State at both. Glad he found his niche at fullback

Josh Chapman did 450 a couple times, he has graduated
Again not sure on Williams
Same with Trent I think I saw a work out weightlifting mag do an article one time on Trent and those numbers were ridiculous from the article in muscle prodigy

Interesting post in the middle of one of the threads on BOL.

After tomorrow, no one will question where Saban will be finishing his career. His commitment to the University, and the University's commitment to him, will go beyond his new contract extension. Alabama is going to be at the top of college football for a LONG time! Also, this contract will change the game as he did when he first signed with Alabama. Exciting times, fellas.

9 million a year contract

Hell yes! There was already a high school in Montgomery that was being named and Nick Saban High School was among some of the names suggested

I don't think I'd like that until after he retired. The statue is weird enough with him still being our coach IMO.

According to the same poster, it sounds like Saban will still work for the university after retirement. Not the AD though. I'll have to hear that one tomorrow before I believe it. I figured the contract stuff would have been announced Saturday.

Naming the field after him would be less weird than the statue to me.
FSU named their field after Bobby Bowden long before he retired. Duke and Tennessee have both named their basketball courts after Coach K and Pat Summitt, respectively.
He has won 2 NCs and I wouldn't be surprised if he won 1 or 2 more before retiring. They are going to name something major after him at some point.

Noooooooooooo!
FWIW, regarding Car Lawson's strength, at the Rivals camp he just won MVP at, he had to go up against a guy that was 6'7 340 pounds...and he man handled the guy. Keith N. said that the OT was considering Bama, Georgia, and GT. Forgot his name...

Name was Shamire Devine
Heard mixed reviews about this guy...not a great work ethic and came in out of shape.
Still, "manhandling" someone of that size and fairly highly recruited is impressive.

He's in the Rivals 250. Around #170 or somewhere close. Big kid, good offers, but doesn't hold a Bama offer at this time. He still has Bama in his top 3 though.
