is this the chest you saw?

I said chest, not a defacement of a beer belly that has a thing for flat chicks.

Based on how hard Bama went after Rivers & Liggins (not very) and Les' track record with evaluating QBs, I would definitely say that it's a coincidence.

Wouldn't Jordan Jefferson be the only QB, so far, to be completely recruited and developed under Les Miles' watch?

It depends on what you classify as a bust, but I wouldn't call any of his QB recruits successes:

Perrilloux, JL, JJ, Shep

he and Lee.

Lee wasn't a bust, IMO. He won the UF, and UT games last year and was instrumental in beating Bama. Led LSU to the best regular season ever this year. He put up alot of yards as a freshman in the SEC but he was thrown into a bad situation.

Miles has recrutied talented guys, RP and Zach Lee but he's been a little snake bit with them.

You saw the effect Crowton has on staffs and players. It's hard to fix his messes.

Many forget LSU finished a close second for EJ Manuel, and Dayne Crist in 08. Thomas left for Oregon when it became clear he wasn't going to be a QB as did DC Jefferson(Rutgers TE)

In the end, you can argue we ended up with the best choice out Of all those schools in 08

Mitch is about to blow up. LSU has an early lead, but UF is contemplating offering now as well

Fair enough LSUTool, but you see my point. I don't think CNS is going to offer a QB because CLM did. There are other programs with better track records in that department.

I like Mitch ok, but Bateman is the top QB on UF's board. I really liked Hackenburg as well, but nobody had a shot when O'Brien went to PSU.

- Blount football coach Kelvin Sigler will join Nick Saban's staff at the University of Alabama, having resigned as the Leopards' football coach today.

Sigler confirmed that he informed Blount officials of the move today, although it's unclear exactly what role the former Alabama player will have on the Crimson Tide's coaching staff.

More from Charles Power on Mitch. Just posted.

quote:

A little more on today's QB offer, Conner Mitch from Raleigh (N.C.) Wakefield. Mitch has been on UA's campus as much if not more than most of UA's other current QB offers having attended the 1st LSU game in November and junior day in January. He's been on a hot streak so far this month landing offers from LSU, Wake Forest, West Virginia, and Syracuse (where his dad played) on top of the UA tender. We'll have more on the Mitch's recruitment, but UA should have staying power here with his multiple pre-offer trips to Tuscaloosa on top of in-state contender UNC's recent sanctions.

Mitch operates an all-out spread system at Wakefield and has put up big numbers the past two seasons and passed for 3,832 yards and 51 touchdowns as a junior. On top of the big production, he's an accurate touch passer and throws a very catchable ball. Watching his highlights, it's easy to see he has a good command of what they're trying to do.

Tidesaint is not impressed. Bama should move on. He's just offered to come throw.

I hope LSU still leads

Mitch, who has received offers from LSU, Tennessee and West Virginia in recent weeks, got a new offer from the University of Alabama on Tuesday. It was an offer that came directly from Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban.

“I was very excited to get an offer from a school like that. It’s just awesome,” Mitch said. “They put players in the NFL, and that’s what you look for. Coach Saban, you know he’s going to stay there. There’s no reason to leave that program to go somewhere else, so the coaching stability is good. They produce national championships, and it’s top-notch down there.”

Dumbass kid. Everyone knows Saban never stays anywhere more than 5 years.
