Alabama could possibly land the 247Sports top five for the state of Georgia.

It was seen as a Bama/UGA battle for a while, his best OL Kublanow is commited to UGA, but he isn't that close with Ty. He came in this weekend and had a GREAT visit, got along with everybody, hit it off with Foster (just wish Adams could've come this weekend) and Coach Burns and his dad and Ty all hit it off majorly, enough to tell him he knew where he wanted to go...

Foster is #2, so I doubt it.

Congrats.

If one of the 2 RBs start leaning against being in the class with the other which would you guys prefer to keep? Just curious of the opinions of you guys. I personally like Jones more than Tenpenny.

So Foster coming in his weekend helped Bama with Tyren Jones.

Vonn Bell has already stated he'll visit a couple more times this spring. He'll definitely be back for A-Day. That's a huge recruiting weekend for Alabama.

Shane Youngblood @shaneyoungblood Reply Retweet Favorite · Open Jones and Tenpenny pretty similar - compact, powerful, fast and shifty. Tenpenny a little stronger, Jones a little faster but it's close.

Quotes from Tyren in Ostendorf's ESPN article:

quote:

"I called Kirby Smart, my recruiting coach, and he was all excited, and then he put me on the phone with the running backs coach and Nick Saban," Jones said. "They all told me they think I made a great decision, and they asked me to give them a big Roll Tide.

"I already had a top five, but when I visited there, I just felt that vibe. I felt comfortable with everyone there, and I feel like they would help me grow as a man."

"I do not plan on taking any visits as of now, but I know I am 100 percent committed to Alabama,” Jones said. “I love how hard-nosed Nick Saban, Coach (Scott) Cochran and the entire staff are."

"I plan on recruiting Brandon Kublanow there as well,” Jones said. “I know if he would have visited he would have loved it there."

As most of you know Kublanow was listed to come & didn't, not sure why

I'm on record as liking Tenpenny better to the point that I didn't want another back in this class with such limited numbers. I'm assuming the staff may move Drake or at least be open to it, Calloway probably moves or something, Sims as well(shoulda been moved) giving us Lacy, Hart, Fowler, Yeldon, Tenpenny and Ty Jones in the backfield next year with only Lacy leaving as we bring in Bo and Rock

I'm assuming(praying) Tenpenny knew and is cool with being in a 2 back class

Belue looks much more like a player. Much more than in HS. He did work at Juco
