Congratulations
Is this the kid that said he wanted to hear from LSU? Originally from Lousiana?
Why don't we recruit Georgia or Florida

Weird. There's nothing about it in the UGa thread. I would guess that means he's 50/50 with Bama and UGA.

"I called Coach Saban tonight and committed. Alabama was the right school for me. Academics, football, and socially it was all the right fit," Jones said. "The offense was a good fit because I'm an all purpose type guy who can catch the ball out of the backfield, line up in the slot, or pound the middle and move the chains. They have a great reputation with their running back and helping them get to the next level and that's my ultimate goal."
quote:
"Coach Smart recruited me and we have a great relationship. He's the one who got me interested in the program and made sure I had a good time on my visit this past week. He's a defensive coach but he was honest with me," Jones said.
quote:
"I talked to Coach Burns a lot this past weekend and he preached to me that if I come in and work hard that I will have a chance to play. He said it's up to me and that I'm coming in as a good player and its their job to make me a great one. I loved everything he had to say about the offense."
quote:
"I loved it there this weekend. I had been there before but this weekend I got more in-depth it was a more serious visit because I wanted to get to know the campus really well," Jones said. "It's a big campus but everything for the athletes is five steps away. It's set up perfectly and their facilities are incredible. I loved seeing more of them.
"Also the academics stood out to me. Education was big and I love the system they have set up for the football players to get the most out of the classrooms."
