Pretty high up for us as well, along with James Williams. Seems like UNC has some pull but I like our chances as we get down to the wire

Thing that will be used against Mack is his age. He’s got something good going right now but he’s going to have to keep the energy up or else end up like Spurrier.

That being said, I love Mack and I’m glad to see him making UNC competitive

UNC and DB coach have a special relationship being from the same town.

A&M has the longest relationship with Grimes.

Georgia has had the best relationship over the last year.

Grimes hasn't visited OSU yet. Watch out as Kerry Coombs has a reputation second to none. Has infectious positive personality with college and NFL (last 2 years with Titans) experience.

Bly is a game changer for UNC. Hopefully Grimes sees the allure of playing better competition in the SEC.

This is new for us to actually be a serious consideration for a player this highly rated from NC!

He was supposed to take a 4 day visit during this time. If he ends up doing something like that, OSU will probably be in good position with their recent history at the position, their chance to compete for national titles etc.

OSU has a ton of kids committed in the secondary already, but this is of course a kid you make room for

I like where UGA sits in this Final 4. Confidence is high on this recruit.

Strange all 4 (maybe just 3) feel pretty confident at this stage.

With Linguist gone I think the distance will tough for us to overcome, JMO. If we can get him back on campus again in the fall though and goes really well it’s certainly possible

Campuses opening for visits will change everything in recruiting

Gonna be really interesting to see how it’s handled in the fall during games and if recruits are more reluctant to go

In a case like Grimes where he would be traveling half way across the country to visit us it’s not ideal for sure

I think it’ll change a lot for committed guys as well; Tennessee for example I think will jettison some commits if they can get bigger fish on campus. It’ll be a game changer for us with guys like Grimes and Korey Foreman, too. Nobody should really feel comfortable about recruiting until we have clarity on how visits will be conducted

Most insiders feel its down to UNC and UGA.

He's basically given UNC's staff his commitment. The family loves Mack and Dre Bly and he wants to play for the Heels. Proximity helps as well. The hold up is that UNC must show significant improvement this season and Grimes wants to see it before making a commitment. I interpret this as UNC needs to win the Coastal and be competitive with Clemson in the ACCCG.

If UNC falters on the field, then he'll head to Athens.
