It is my hope that they are just trying to do away with the crappy neutral site locations and do a true home/home.

Unlikely though...

Other than BYU those are some nice matchups. I’d watch all of those.

Alabama schedules better than LSU on a consistent basis. It’s comical that y’all have tried to run with this narrative so hard.

Btw, our non conference opener this year- they finished with a better record than your non conference opener last year, and they beat them head to head. Let that marinade peckerhead.

I d say Nick Saban is a Pussy for that out of conference schedule but I guess he’s just smart. Why take the chance when you don’t need to?

Saban and Malzhan are the only two SEC coaches in favor of a 9 game SEC schedule. Saban has advocated for a P5 only league

I wasn’t disputing your past record. Just responding to a post.
Sorry if it hurt your feelings.

Clemson has Saban scared to schedule anyone that isn't just a well known but down school. At best they schedule Tennessee type programs or teams that are likely 1 hit wonders when they schedule them (like Memphis and Duke). Looks good far off but garbage when it comes down to it.

Why? I take it this was another Alleva special instead of scheduling a home and home series with FSU?

I like it. Looking forward to hanging in the quarter with some FSU hotties

If that actually were Alabama's OOC P5 schedule you could call him that with a clear conscience.

The poster either intentionally or out of blissful ignorance (or he relies on tigerdroppings for his Alabama news) left out games against:

USC west in 2020
Miami (FL, not Ohio) in 2021
Texas (home and home) in 2022 and 2023
Wisconsin (home and home) in 2024 and 2025

There is also a non-P5 home and home against South Florida in 2023 and 2024.

The ones that start 1 or 2 in every week 1 poll? Clemson plays 2 SEC teams this year.
And Alabama plays 8 or 9(when they get to the SECCG) of them.

They also play a top and sometimes powerhouse almost every single season to go along with those 8 SEC games.

Let me bow out. I thought this thread was about OOC schedules.

Oh look it is.

I guess that's why he's been lobbying for a 9 game conference schedule and only P5 OOC games?

Bama has scheduled two teams that were in the playoffs last year

Bama fans are terrible fond of it either, but other than one team's name recognition let's be honest, based on recent performance there isn't a big difference between these teams (last 3 seasons' records)

Duke (4-8, 7-6, 8-5)
NM State (3-9, 7-6, 3-9)
Southern Miss (7-6, 8-5, 6-5)

and

Texas (5-7, 7-6, 10-4)
Georgia Southern (5-7, 2-10, 10-3)
Utah State (3-9, 6-7, 11-2)

Texas is a marquee matchup for sure, but neither schedule is as good or as bad as they're made out to be. They're overall pretty comparable.

I thought we needed 9 conference games to improve strength of schedule? That's what the rant says, anyway.

You start 1 or 2, you play 4 big games a year
Did you or did you not change the topic to Alabama not playing many big games compared to other programs?

Then used Clemson playing 2 SEC teams to show that Clemson is playing more big games than Alabama?

There is no guessing needed to know you have no goddamn clue how the Chicken Fil A game is scheduled.

It was a two for one deal to make the 2017 Florida State matchup in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff happen. Alabama agreed to a game against “an ACC opponent” in 2019. Well Duke is what the Chick-fil-A people came up with. It’s ridiculous but it was agreed upon.

So, basically a perennial middle of the pack Big 12 team, two sacks of shite from the PAC-12, a bag of shite from the ACC (that may or not be happening), and then Clemson and OU starting in six years. Hella skrong

Is a school whose marquee OOC game 2 years ago was fvckin SYRACUSE giving us shite about Duke?

LSU's Dynamite OOC opponents : 2012 to 2018
Washington (7-6) (2012)
TCU (4-8) (2013)
Wisconsin (11-3) (2014)
Syracuse (4-8) (2015)
Wisconsin (11-3) (2016) (lost)
BYU (4-9) (2017)
Syracuse (4-8) (2017)
Miami (7-6) (2018)

So LSU has played 2 OOC game worth a damn in the last 7 seasons, both against Wisconsin. And they split.

The rest squeaked out a winning record or had losing records.
