That’s not an official link it’s wikapedia! Anyone can put crap on that thing. It states Auburn has 8 NT and as a Auburn Fan I know that’s crap. Any National title not awarded that year and not by AP, UPI (coaches poll), BCS, or College football Playoff is bogus. It’s for butt hurt fans to buy toilet rags that will buy or believe anything.

At least Auburn has some kind angst after playing arguably the tuffest schedule in football history in 1983 with 7 ranked opponents. While Miami played only 2. And Auburn beat Florida that Miami lost too. Or the only undefeated team in 1993 beating number 4 Florida and defending NC Alabama or the screw job in 2004 by the BCS. There is no BCS NC for 2004 but Auburn is the only undefeated team. But no self respecting Auburn man or women drives around saying we got 8 , that’s for the convince store clerk fans.

GT won there’s the year they played them and you have 1 to their 3. Nuff said.

Yup. It was very common back then for college teams, particularly in the South, to play games in the state capitol or a nearby big city.

Heck, Arkansas and Ole Miss have played each other 14 times in Memphis.

Arkansas’s facilities—across all sports—are among the most aesthetically attractive in the country.
My hat’s off to those who served on the committees that designed/selected their entire vibe.

With just modifying the existing stadium over the years, Commonwealth doesn't look too bad.

That parking lot was where Nixon landed in the presidential helicopters and made his way into the stadium after the game started.
Him arriving a few minutes late was a lot more dramatic as he walked in while the game was being played and being televised to the largest auidence in the history of college football.

Wrong. Nixon landed on the practice field South of the stadium. That parking lot is North of the stadium.

didn't realize Miss. State's stadium was that nice...it may not be the largest, but it's one of the most handsome looking...very nice.

Thanks for the complement. It is a very pleasing venue. The architects did a fantastic job shoehorning that renovation in the footprint allowed.

There is plenty of old money that could’ve done anything or even built more. This was a business decision.

Have been to Mercedes-Benz 4 times. Kept giving it another chance thinking that maybe it was were I was sitting. Sight lines are horrible from the corners. The jumbo-Tron in the middle is hard to watch and is worthless other than for showing advertising. Don’t think I saw one replay anytime I went. And the acoustics are the worst I’ve ever experienced in a stadium. The announcer was unintelligible I couldn’t even hear my wife sitting next to me and the game hadn’t started. Leaving the stadium was also a nightmare.

For them to have spent 1.5 billion was greatly disappointed. Beer was flat and the stadium Is also ugly! Other plans for this stadium were more functional but I know what Authur Blank was trying to go for by giving Atlanta a show piece in architecture but think it was an epic fail. 20 years from know they’ll want to replace this one too.

The Falcons stadium is mighty impressive! But if you squint hard enough, you'll see it's actually Alabama's.

Looking forward to our 4th dance in the Benz this coming Labor Day!

One small addition (Recruiting Center and Locker rooms) that looks OK from the outside, great inside, but terrible from the seats in Auburn (Pressbox in corner)

PRESS BOX above recruiting center.. Turned old pressbox into luxury seats.
