He was a serviceable LB for us if I remember correctly.

Dislike as people:
quote:

Eddie Williams and Tyler Hayes

Throw in Calloway and Pettway for their involvement as well.

Dislike as player (attitude):
DJ Hall; forever tarnished what was a tremendous career.

Dislike as talent:
Chris Capps; I refuse to believe he was the best talent available. A turnstile would have been just as effective

Sounds like he was a threat to dual people. Lived up to the hype.

Agree...there are guys like Capps that we disliked because they were forced to start...not because they were bad individuals. I'd put Burnt Toast Bailey in that group as well. Capps and Bailey wouldn't start at Vanderbilt...had no business starting at Bama regardless of the time period. But those guys should be commended for not quitting like some guys do... even though we wished they would have at times lol. No hate there at all... just disappointment. There are others, but those two came to mind just because they started and played a lot during their time on campus.

DJ Hall...so glad he's been erased from the record books at Bama and I'll leave it at that.

Top 2 for me are Brandon Harris and D.J. Welter
I don't know about D.J. Welter, but Brandon Harris in 2015 prior to the Bama game played pretty darn good during the start of the season. I thought he was going to be a great player for you guys.

Just sayin there was a reason why he was starting over all that talent. Beckwith was a quarterback in highschool

Sterling Sharpe. Incredibly talented football player. Unbelievably shallow person.

As a person: DJ Hall comes to mind.

As a player: Spencer Pennington. The answer is always Spencer Pennington. He was so fricking terrible it still pisses me off to think of him throwing the football.

remember him as being a very good WR but with some bad injury luck.

Comes from after his playing days. Dealing his little brother Malik to UK.

Jake was never hated. He didn’t have the talent of some others, but he played his heart out. Chaz Ramsey is a better pick.

Not to rational fans. He missed a big play right before the Crabtree catch, but actually made quite a few tackles that game that kept us in it. It was a true freshman moment that cost us, but nobody talks about Colt's pick six in the 3rd or the 22-3 start in the second quarter.

My favorite Blake Gideon memory was him trailing Cyrus Gray by 20-30 yards on multiple touchdown runs.
