From your lips to God’s ears, but I’m afraid that AU/UF as an annually game will never be resurrected.
Having Ala/uga/UF as AU’s 3 perms would be awesome. Hard as hell, but Auburn is at its best when it’s playing these 3 every year.
Back in the day when UGA, Auburn and Florida all played one another back to back or nearly so there were some seriously good football games and they often decided something conference wise.....

UGA

I really hate we didnt get one of these teams. I get that they want to protect rivalries...but if we are going to expand then some of those rivalries should suffer. Carolina not getting any of these three is an absolute travesty.

This would be my pick but if it were Kentucky or Vandy instead of South Carolina I wouldn't mind...
Athens to Lexington isn't a viable road trip. Athens to Nashville is better, but dude you don't even have to skip any classes on Friday to make it to Columbia, SC on a Friday night then make it back to Athens on Sunday afternoon even if you need to sleep off a hangover.

Pretty spot on imo except I think LSU should always play a&m and so should arky

As an A&M fan, this isn't who I want for A&M, but rather, what I came up with when trying to preserve the long-standing rivals, and filling in the rest:
Florida - Georgia, S. Carolina, LSU
Georgia - Florida, Auburn, S. Carolina
South Carolina - Vandy, Florida, Georgia
Tennessee - Kentucky, Bama, Vandy
Kentucky - Tennessee, Miss State, Auburn
Vanderbilt - S. Carolina, Missouri, Tennessee
Alabama - Auburn, Tennessee, Miss State
Auburn - Bama, Georgia, Kentucky
Ole Miss - Miss State, LSU, A&M
Mississippi State - Ole Miss, Kentucky, Bama
LSU - A&M, Ole Miss, Florida
Texas A&M - LSU, Texas, Ole Miss
Texas - Oklahoma, A&M, Arkansas
Oklahoma - Texas, Arkansas, Missouri
Arkansas - Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas
Missouri - Arkansas, Vandy, Oklahoma
I did this by starting with the most historic rivalries, then sort of filling in the blanks logically. I was working in a table, and the third column has some pairings that were just there by process of elimination (A&M-Ole Miss and Auburn-Kentucky).
Some teams had two rivalries which just had to be protected, others only one (or arguably, none that MUST be played, but at least one or two very logical pairings). If you are a little bit more flexible on losing some of those longstanding matchups, then you can come up with something else, but I tried to keep as many of those as possible.
Florida - Georgia, S. Carolina, LSU
Georgia - Florida, Auburn, S. Carolina
South Carolina - Vandy, Florida, Georgia
Tennessee - Kentucky, Bama, Vandy

Vanderbilt - S. Carolina, Missouri, Tennessee
Alabama - Auburn, Tennessee, Miss State
Auburn - Bama, Georgia, Kentucky
Ole Miss - Miss State, LSU, A&M
Mississippi State - Ole Miss, Kentucky, Bama
LSU - A&M, Ole Miss, Florida
Texas A&M - LSU, Texas, Ole Miss
Texas - Oklahoma, A&M, Arkansas
Oklahoma - Texas, Arkansas, Missouri
Arkansas - Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas
Missouri - Arkansas, Vandy, Oklahoma

No reason for Arky. LSU would be much more fun for a new generation
I respect you as a Longhorn and as a poster.
But no, we gotta keep Arkansas. Texas stands on tradition. Frankly, LSU is not even worthy to be our rival if you wanna get in the mud over it.

I actually really like yours. Best one ive seen so far for everyone. . Maybe Tennessee would be grumpy, but respectfully they have like 5 or 6 they would like to permanent

1 - Florida
2 - Auburn
3 - Tennessee/Miss./Alabama (although we’ve played the other 2 more often)

Lets see how the first 4-05 years go with Arky. I'm old enough to remember the rivalry and 3rd Gen Longhorn so I respect and appreciate the historical nature.
I just think the below would be better:
A) LSU better team past 20 years
B) What recruiting ground would be better LSU or Ark? Plus deeper roots in East Texas
MtVernon you mentioned LSU is not even worthy, I am curious why do you think that?

If this happens, I will melt down.
If TAMU's schedule is Arkansas' three most-played P4 opponents, and Arkansas is stuck playing OU and Missouri, I will be pissed. Arkansas has never consistently played OU or Mizzou.
Edit - The scenario above would represent Arkansas being pushed out of the Southeastern Conference. Betrayal is the only word to describe it. If that pairing is the future, then Arkansas should have never joined this conference.

For A&M, I would say:

2) LSU
3) Arky
How is Arky supposed to be a rival of Aggie? Has anyone witnessed the last dozen games they've played?
Holy hell, there is no greater example of Aggie ownage.

I do not care who Ark plays, thats is not my concern. The OP asked who (as fans I presume) we would like to be our 3 main rivals.
See quote "What would be your choice for your school’s 3 permanent rivals, ranked by intensity?"
I would prefer to see LSU to Ark. Appreciate your chiming in for sure but my 2 cents is to drop Ark in favor of LSU

Yeah, we need to keep the Ole Miss Arkansas games going. Its the most underrated series in the SEC.

Texas is not going to fraternize with a tea-bagging bunch of 3-tooth sidewalk fans yelling STTDB.
Sorry, no. The line is drawn. Call it whatever they will.

I want to play Georgia, LSU, Tennessee and Auburn every single year. If they can't make this happen, then I don't give a shite.
