I thought he was the way the Patriots drafted and went after nobody in free agency. I have a hard time seeing Cam and Belichick together.

Cam has MVP talent. Bill is the best coach ever. Neither minds cheating. If Cam is healthy they're a Superbowl contender.

Cam's back in the same situation he had in Carolina with subpar talent at skill positions. At least the Panthers had Greg Olsen

Best FA QB, but not sure his injuries were healed enough.

I think he's a great fit. If they could win with a young Jacoby Brissett, they can tailor an offense to Cam as well.

The pats have pretty bad talent at the skill positions. Unless they have found some more diamonds, it’s gonna be a long year for them. There’s a reason Brady bailed.

Or maybe Cam got so desperate he agreed to back up Stidham?
Should I inject logic into this thread?

He’s going there to compete for the starting job. Obviously.

Sure,

Har Megiddo is a biblical term, literally "The Mountain of Megiddo", it's the battle where Satan and the forces of Gog and Magog will be vanquished by Christ and his followers.

You may be more familiar with 'Har Megiddo' by its etymological bastardization into English of "Armageddon".

Did that answer your question?

Typically long term guys aren't on the bench their first 2 years, though I could be wrong.

Young (HOF), Rogers (likely future HOF) and Bulger come to mind. And, the guy Bulger replaced went from being an UDFA the Packers did not keep, to stocking shelves at a grocery store, to Arena league, back to the NFL, a Superbowl and the HoF.

SCam is a shell of the guy that won the MVP and then chose to save his arse instead of diving on a crucial fumble in the Super Bowl

Seriously though, SCam's arm isn't the same anymore due to shoulder injuries, his zip is gone and his accuracy on middle range and longer routes is among the worst in the League

The Pats should've went with Kaep or Jameis, at least those guys still have the arm talent to give the Pats a puncher's chance at being successful on Offense

Yep! Just not entirely the way I was hoping, haha.

I’ve recently become somewhat (and at this point, still minimally) involved in the excavations there, so I was hoping for a bit of a connection

Gonna shamelessly plug David Ussishkin’s book “Megiddo—Armageddon” and Eric Cline’s “Digging Up Armageddon”; both are excellent!

That was not the main problem for Cam at Carolina. It was years of crappy OL play. The Pats will be a major upgrade from that crapshow of an OL that Carolina has had.

Can’t say to see Belichick run The Woody with Cam and Hastings.
