I would think if court testimony implicated him actually observing child rape and keeping quiet, then he would have spent some time in a jail cell.

Exactly...UT could have had Schiano who went 3-6 this year instead of Pruitt who finished 3-7.
Greg Schiano took over a lousy Rutgers team and is very difficult to recruit there due to not having any good facilities and they are now getting started building them. Once those facilities being done he will start getting some top recruits and the team will be a winner again. Tennessee have all that ready for him and would get Tennessee back to bowl games in year two for sure.

I don’t care if he was the love child of Nick Saban and Bear Bryant. His involvement in the Sandusky cover- up is questionable at best. There are about a zillion coaches without his baggage and I would pass. What happened at Penn State was so reprehensible that I wouldn’t want anyone associated with it.

He’s not the genius that everyone thinks, he won 3 games this year just like we did. At least Pruitt at the time seemed like a promising hire with a high ceiling and connections to the SEC. Schiano was butch 2.0, a roundish buzzcut big east knockoff and we could not put up with that again.
