With an accusation like that, he should have been suing some folk for slander and libel. The fact that he didn’t speaks volumes. I would rather nuke the goddam program than be associated with anyone involved in a systematic pedo cover up.

It has never been proven, not even by dossier after dossier by the FBI, that Schiano knew anything about Sanduskys crime. Tennessee fans and the Trump backers have one thing in common, 0 evidence. To smear a mans character in such a way is unconscionable, bordering on criminal, and only because you didn't like him as coach, which is the real reason. I will never cheer for your team, or Clay Travis who is a repugnant .... You reap what you sow.

I felt bad for Tennessee after the Pruitt coaching search. Now I just don’t know what else there is to feel for them. They’re so desperate I don’t know how to process it.

This was the excuse Tennessee fans used for nuking the hire because they were humiliated when they found out that they actually had no chance to get Jon Gruden.

That's all the Schiano stuff was about. It was solely because your fans were so worked into a Gruden frenzy that any other name was going to be a disappointment.

Sorry. I don’t want to have anything to do with someone who was allegedly part of a pedo coverup as alleged in court testimony, no matter how good of a coach he is. There are too many good coaches that don’t have pedo baggage to choose from.

It’s a damn good excuse.

I didn’t want Gruden and didn’t understand the love for him. I sure as hell didn’t want Sciano.

Have more in common with Penn State fans than UT fans.

I love shite talking UT, but the reaction to Schiano was absolutely justified. The fact that he actually lost out on a huge fricking job due to these accusations and still has not pursued lawsuits to seek restitution from those who put explicit accusations out there speaks volumes. It’s enough evidence to make a hiring decision on.

If you can’t say “I was 100% unaware of child sexual abuse and will seek legal action to clear this up”, then you don’t deserve to be a highly paid football coach. It’s a really straightforward thing.

IIRC, the “100% unaware” portion is not a claim he was willing to make.

Good thing Schiano wasn't part of it. Bad thing for you you didn't hire him. Now you'll have to wallow in mediocrity and irrelevance a little longer than you needed to.

As someone who has watched his team make terrible hires and get put in the shite, I can sympathize with them.

However, UT recruits against my team, and them sucking might give the Pittboss more inroads into Tennessee. So nah them sucking is dope.

I'm not sure why anyone would feel bad for Tennessee.

It's entirely self inflicted.

For the players, absolutely.
For the fans, sure. They're good people.
For the administration and school itself, not so much.

For Fullmer (and anyone who brought him back), frick him. Let that fat frick burn.

I do not claim your clairvoyance, but if someone accused me of something like that and it cost me a multi million dollar job, lawsuits would be flying. Why didn’t he sue for slander?
