It would be hilarious.
It would save Sumlin's job at the end of a .500 season, and LSU would have another trophy.

We're guaranteed to do better than 10-2 most seasons.
No thanks.

Strategically Mississippi State and Louisville. That gets us to Atlanta, and would give us W's over Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and Georgia this year.

LSU
Mizzou
We beat all the rivals and get the Tigers back in Atlanta.

For Alabama the two that would be most tolerable are USC and Tennessee.
USC would be the first game and easily recovered from. Tennessee would be to a non-division foe and therefore you'd be 7-1 and assured of winning the West, and would very likely get a rematch with UT in the SEC title game.
Losing to Tennessee at all would suck since they are a rival, so you could probably substitute a random SEC opponent that isn't a likely division threat as well, like a Mississippi State.

So you are saying LSU over achieved in 2003,2005,2006,2007,2010,2011,2012?

Kentucky and Western Kentucky.
Then an SEC championship and everyone screams while we back into the playoffs and win another one.

some of yall are so fricking stupid.
You know you can get to ATL by losing to a team in the other division, right?
And you also know that in this scenario in the OP, that if you choose to lose to south alabama and Umass, that even if you win the SECCG you have no chance at going to the playoff, right?

Our first 2 games. If you want your team to have a chance at the playoffs this should be everyone's answer

False, considering your 2nd game is jacksonville state. Do you honestly think that any team losing to jax st has a chance at the playoffs? Doesn't matter if you win the SEC, you aren't making the final 4 losing to jax state.
The only right answer, for teams that this could actually apply to (which isn't everybody FYI!) is a legit OOC and an opposite division team.
LSU's only right answer is Wisonsin and UF (or MAAAAAYYYBE wisconsin and MSU, since msu isn't going to make noise in the west).
They're both in the first half of the season so it doesn't hurt you too bad in the polls and you're guarnateed to win the west and go to the SECCG.
What do you think looks better to the country?
10-2 with losses @ wisconsin and home to Jacksonville St
or
10-2 with losses @ wisconsin and @Florida?
