This. Both teams are respectable enough to where a loss doesn't tank you and a West loss to TAMU would still send us to the SECCG. It would also mean we snapped both streaks. While the Appy St./VT pairing would still send us to the SECCG it would be a prestige nick in the polls and could be a deciding factor if the team won the SEC and was being looked at for a playoff spot.

A&M and Virginia Tech.
That means we are assuredly in Atlanta, beat Bama, and probably will be playing LSU or A&M in the SEC championship game and a win there could put us in contention for a playoff spot if there are multiple two loss teams in contention for a spot.

I hope you are joking. That would be a great season for L5u considering the competition. Bama is a loss. That means LSu only loses 1 more game vs the remaining toss up games ; @UF, Ole Miss, @Ark, @Au, @TAMU
A 3 loss season should be expected by reasonable LSu fans.
4 losses would be a disappointment
3 losses would be a good seaso,
2 losses = overachieved and a great season for an LSu program
Anything better than that and it's a magical year, very rare occurrence for a program like LSu.
