If there’s one thing I’ve liked about the current format, it’s that games matter for longer. BUT, that would also be the same in an 8 team playoff.
Also, the seeding system they’ve adopted for this is terrible. Penn State has been gifted such an easy path to the championship and they don’t deserve it while our 1 seed has arguably the hardest path.
Theres so much to work on and I just think 12 teams is too many for the “greatest minds in CFB” to handle.

You don’t know squat about the AAC…Navy was 6-1 then Hovath got injured and they lost 2 out of 3. Today the country saw that Navy is the best team in the AAC when they have their starting QB. Something OU and the SEC will learn first hand on 12/27.

So you want a 4 team playoff out of a league with 134 teams? That’s 3% of the teams. It makes no sense that there are teams that can go undefeated and not make it in. It is like only taking the top 4 high school teams for the state playoffs.

It took me exactly one season to figure out that the 12 team playoff is a scheme to have more important games in Dec played in northern cold environments instead of warm southern environments.
