Big 6 teams don’t play home games on Thursdays. Vols did and look where they are. Aggy has violated this rule numerous times.

If Purdue, Indiana, and Nebraska lost to mid-majors, Minnesota lost to UNC, and the rest of the B10 won including Michigan over Miami and Wisconsin over Oregon in prime time, would anyone be saying the B10 had a disastrous week? Conferences are judged by how their top 4 or 5 teams are playing. No one cares when Purdue, Ole Miss, Wake Forest, Baylor, or Oregon State lose.

Name the best 5 teams in another conference and tell me how they compare to the SEC.

Idk. The good teams still look good and auburn had a great ooc win. Bama, UGA, LSU, Auburn, a&m, and possibly UF can still prop up the SEC. If LSU and UGA take care of their upcoming ooc games then all will be fine.

Is the mystique finally gone, or was that an anomaly from which we can recover?

The media is going to try to tear down the SEC from being viewed above everyone else every chance they get. One week doesn't make or break anything but the conference has slow been going down hill for awhile now. It's not quality from top to bottom like it used to be thanks to the NCAA letting Bama buy all the talent up from the bottom teams. Those 5*s sitting on their bench is taking away from the other schools. When the NCAA stayed on Bama and they stayed on everyone about cheating the talent was split up and even the small schools could jump up and beat anyone on a given week.

It made more games more exciting to watch week to week. Literally anyone could beat anyone on a given week and if you made it through the conference undefeated it was a big accomplishment. Now most of the talent is chasing the extra benefits and then the bigger schools still get enough instate talent that care enough about certain schools that they are still competitive but it is killing the talent at the schools with little instate talent.

Until the NCAA tightens up this will only get worse and the conference will end up extremely top heavy. The days of the 90's when everyone was atleast decent will be gone.

The coaching staffs at the bottom has really went down hill .

It was inevitable. The only good coach the SEC has hired from another conference in the past 5 or so years is Jimbo and they had to pay 10 mil for him. Easy decision to go to a conference with only one good team if you're a hot coach.

A&M would beat Florida.

Does A&M think they're good now because other teams struggled?

If you’ve been remotely paying attention the bottom of this league went from respectable during the SEC dominance years to terrible and this transition is not recent

Hey, Alabama looked OK. That is what the SEC reputation is built on. No one really cares about the other teams very much outside of the SEC footprint

You are such a titty baby. Don't worry, keep crying. One day Stan White will finally here you and come pop his tit in your mouth, and you two can have a good cry.

Your head coach is a titty baby and your fanbase only cries because you know you are irrelevant unless you are cheating. The whole span from Stallings cheating to Shula proves that.

I wouldn't say we barely eeked out the win. We were up 35-14 late in the game and coasted to a 10 point win.

Toledo is picked to win the MAC and we beat the spread. How is that a bad thing?

This. Toledo is a well coached team under Candle, they are not a complete door mat.

NCAA and FBI said we didn't. Saban's staff has already been caught twice paying players. The non-Emmert ncaa would have took away half Saban's wins and NCs and they still would be on probation.
