I have no doubt the season will start. I just have doubts it will be finished. No way to
gage how an outbreak will be dealt with.

They're paid athletes. The shitstorm will ensue WHEN a program gets infected.

More movement:

The Big Sky Conference just cancelled fall sports. This conference is probably the most prominent of the conferences which have cancelled fall sports so far. Idaho, Montana, and Utah schools wanted to make it happen; schools in California, Oregon, and Washington did not.

Athletes won't piss off fans by forcing a political agenda. Way too much money involved.

There's a lot of pised off people nowadays but few of them are focusing on athletes.

You are a shitty troll, but the fact that your clearly satirical posts get more upvotes than downvotes these days show how moronic some of the posters on this webpage are.

Yeah, and if they play that money will go to attorney's fees, judgments and settlements. Lawsuits are absolutely going to come.

It's not deadly, but the US has ~ 1/4 the total deaths world-wide?

The NCAA Basketball tournament will be played, too much money involved.

The focus should be on hospitalizations and deaths. If those increase (which I highly doubt will), then the season could be in jeopardy.

One death of a student athlete is too many

Where did I indicate otherwise?

Also, how does that change what I posted?

FWIW...in 1983 Auburn's starting FB, Gregg Pratt, died of a heat stroke in August. While horrifically tragic, no one ever suggested canceling the season.

I'll go on record and say that I do not think there will be ANY players die from the virus nationally.

I don't think football players are facing appreciably more COVID risk than the other students are. Close contact in games is added risk but that risk is mitigated by frequent testing. The reality is that all the students are at risk.
