Again, find me a QB who doesn't put up better stats against weaker competition. It's the name of the game. Now, Heupel would definitely run the score up when given the chance. I get what you are saying.

He may or may not be the first QB taken, but several draft nick types are projecting that he will be.

Its hard to get excited about a team that was dominated in their bowl game. Your "lights out" offense disappeared against a horn squad that was missing a bunch of starters on defense. Your defense last season was awful and will probably still be awful. Georgia doesnt need to worry. I understand trying to get yourselves hyped but I don't think Mizzou is going to have another good season until Odom is fired. If y'all were going hire from within it should have been that miracle DL coach Bama just hired from Miami.

Mizzou was about as well oiled on offense as it got late last year. They were in the right scheme for them. Which means a QB who can do what they were doing and get them an edge. Problem is when the old Saban sidekick head coach left he took the defense with him.

Now we'll find out if they have that attack down to where it is a plug and play with DD running the show. I like Odom, he has some passion but it is Mizzou. He and Dooley both keep mentioning some pro style stuff which is scary for them. You'd better have some players and they do, in spots, when you start doing that. Could be a great hire or it could get out of hand.Lucky for them they are in the east which is at a low water mark right now but won't be long with UT and UF likely trending back up in the coming years. Right now you have Georgia and that's about it. South Carolina will hit you and play hard but they would be in the bottom tier in the west talent wise. Better than Arkansas but after that it get's tricky.

This team is experienced and talented, and fairly deep.

Return what many think will be the first QB taken in the draft.

Bring back a 1000 yard rusher coming off shoulder surgery. Back him up with a promising SO who averaged 5.3 yards per carry vs SEC defenses.

Possibly the best TE in the country.

Return every start on the OL. 2 Seniors.

One of the best deep threats in the country at WR. Return a slot who had 724 yards and 6 TD last year.

Terry Beckner JR coming back was huge for the defense. 1st RD talent at DT.

Return all starters at LB. Terez Hall turned into an All SEC caliber LB over the course of last year.

Odom is becoming a bit more comfortable, confident and experienced.

We have a few question marks like most every team, but this team will be better than most on this board think. If those question marks get positive answers then this team will be damn good and push UGA hard for the East.

All valid points.

Hired Derek Dooley offsets every offensive point you made.

Sure. We came back to win with a QB that was puking his guts out and had an IV hydrating him bc he was so sick before he went in. Can't blame him for puking his guts out in COMO, tho.

I thought there was an anti ‘y’all’ sentiment with Mizzou. It’s a pleasure to see you join in one of the greatest contractions in the American English language vernacular.

It is the east. It’s not going to take much to get to 6 wins especially with Arkansas as your cross division rival. You’ll take the Bama L and just hope you can upset UGA.

Was he better against weaker teams? Yes. Everyone is. That's how FB generally works.

In fairness, he had a really good game against Georgia.

At least a half.

I don't know how Dooley will do, but it often felt like Heupel's offense helped bury us against good defenses.

Yeah puking happens a lot in FB BUT even with the loss we still made it to Atlanta.......so we puked the game and you puked the season

Shaw was sick before he even arrived in COMO which is why he didn't start and only came in during the 4th quarter.

And nice deflection. We weren't talking about the season, we were talking about the infamous doink.
