Golding’s LBs were great. It was the DBs that got absolutely lit up and you’ll never guess who is responsible for them!

Golding's LBs were not great the amount of missed tackles were experienced especially in 2019 verifies that.

Alabama fans are the worst. Gonna be glorious when Saban retires and they aren’t in contention every year.

You Ole Miss folks are an odd bunch. You just hired Alabama's DC and are on here being pissed off. At us. We didn't fire him and we didn't make you hire him so what's up with that?

Petey was the major problem.

Well now he has 10% (if that) of the talent he had and is supposed to be better?

This doesn't help your argument like you think it does...

What argument?

Someone mentioned times when the defense didn't perform well, and they were under Kirby. And Kirby seems to be doing just fine. Hell, some of them were 10 years ago.

Should I go further? The years that were mentioned also resulted in a national championship for Alabama.

That was Kirby, he seems to be doing ok.

Nah. Kirby’s last season in Alabama was 2015. That was longer than 6-7 seasons ago. Six seasons ago was the 2017 season. Seven seasons ago was 2016.

Why are all the Ole Miss fans NOW coming on here trying to tell everybody that Tide fans' negative opinion of Golding is unfounded?
LOOK, you got'em, we don't, we're happy, hope you are, too!

2015 was the last time Alabama lost to Ole Miss.

2012 was when Alabama lost to Manziel.

Kirby was DC for both. Alabama went on to win the national championship both years as well.

I think you might need some remedial math courses.

I had issues with holding game planning more than anything

Example was the Bama/UT game
If you have some of the best pass rushers in the country do you utilize them and blitz the QB or drop them into coverage?

Bama didn’t blitz once in that game and got picked apart.
UGA sent the blitz constantly and completely disrupted the UT passing game.

Golding just wasn’t aggressive enough.

Golding was not the problem at Bama. Simply put, the players did not perform on the field. Coaching was fine. The on-field problems were the player’s responsibility. They did not execute thus they struggled in some games. Not all games but some.
And yet still Bama was 11-2. Hardly a failure of a season.

He did a better job with the defense the last two years than O’Brien did with the offense. I’d be happy with Golding another year if we upgraded our OC.

O'Brian and Golding are the perfect storm of mediocrity. Saban should have his arse kicked for ever hiring either one of them.
