Or read the article on the internet. Who still subscribes to magazines anymore?

True. But would you call that a good thing? On a side note, he is a complete arse. Good coach, but arse none the less.

While I'm not even sure it's accurate, I would say it's a good thing to a point. It's going to be run the way he wants it to be. I trust him because I don't have any other choice.

Sad for a once pround organization for one man who is certainly not the best at what he does to humble an organization and DICTATE EVERYTHING and how it is and will be. Saban says jump, Bama says how high.

That reminds me, how is Bobby Lowder these days?

Good answer. Seriously. He's a good coach but it remains to be seen if handing him the keys to the University is a good choice. I guess I would put my faith in him too if I were die hard Bama.

Good comeback and I was waiting on it. I think Lowder's influence is not nearly as great as Saban because he does not control what goes on day to day with the team, media relations, recruiting, winning on the field, etc. He has great influence on who does control these things, but it is not Lowder himself. Furthermore Tubs does not have AU by the balls and it is more or a mutual relationship. Saban dictates to Bama and controls all that happens on a day to day basis with the team.

By the way, AU is not proud of Lowder and his perceived influence. Lowder has however done a lot for AU.

Is Bama proud of Saban? They bowed down, kissed the ground and his arse as they gave him their balls on a silver platter, so they better be.

Did y'all even read the fricking article? It doesn't say that Saban is 'GODLY COACH WHO IS THE BEAR INCARNATE' or any of that bullshite.

Your first mistake was assuming the LSU fans know how to read.

Flame first, read later. Saban Saban Saban.

Ask me in twenty years. Lowder has a LOOOOOONNNG track record to be judged by, Saban has a year and a half.

BTW, nice edit to throw this at the end of your post:

I believe that a lot of people here are totally missing the whole point of the article. I believe what they are saying is the Saban has more to say about how the program is ran in terms of coaching, recruiting, and etc., not how good of a coach he is, how many games he wins (or loses), or how the players act. Try to keep up. And also note that I do not think that Saban is a god nor is the best thing since sliced bread. I for one am not 100% sold on the guy.

It's got a little sour taste to it sometimes, like it's been sitting out for a while, about 25 years I think.

Did you really bring up Lowder? Seriously, do you Alabama fans really think that the Good Ole Boys network at Bama truly turned over the reigns to Saban? I call bullshite on that one! Remember that for every Bobby Lowder there are 10 just like him associated with decision making and influence at Alabama. One more year of 6-6 or 7-5 will take Saban from being on a long leash to standing on the edge of a chair with a noose around his neck.

Alabama has more than it's fair share of idiots and many of them seem to be on this board.
