The Tennessee job is currently a pile of radioactive waste. It's Alabama post-Mike Price, hire Mike Shula in May level bad.

Not sure what the expectation was here.

To contact and hire Jamey Chadwell? The guy who is a life long UT fan who could be signed for 1 million?

I think Tennessee is done hiring guys to learn on the job for a while.

They wanted an offensive guy and pulled a guy that has consistently put his program in the top 10 nationally in that category.

This should’ve been the floor.

Chadwell would have been 100x the hire this mongoloid is.

Really no reason to continue playing the sport with hires like this.

Take a chance on a hungry coordinator looking to rebuild a program from the floor up?

UCF will make a better hire

They don't have a new AD yet and are 1 or 2 months away from finding one. Will they have a new coach before spring practice?

I agree Huepel isn't the greatest hire, but he could bring good assistants?

George O'Leary would have been better

Really bad hire.

Honestly, it just comes off as a placeholder to get y'all through whatever NCAA bullshite is coming down the pipeline.

They could’ve gotten Chadwell. Or even punted until next year with Steele as interim until the NCAA situation is clearer

Hiring this fat non-recruiting buffoon just to further tank the roster and do this all over again in 3 years is the worst option

UT won’t even touch top 20 classes with this clown. We will be out recruited by Ole Miss, Kentucky and South Carolina.

It is pretty damn transparently lazy by Danny White. Not exactly endearing himself as that whole "outside the box thinker" he was sold as.

So you’re saying that wasn’t worth 1.8 million?

The new AD is so great that the best he could do was hiring a coach he worked with at his last job rather than hiring a big name.
