I've never listened to the PF show live - the times I've seen him interviewed on ESPN he didn't wow me as overly smart... but then I'm biased because I think he looks like an angry turtle... and I heard the clip where Gene Stallings called in and owned him (that was PF wasn't it?)
It seems like he just relays internet rumors over the air and ends up being wrong as often as he is right

I heard the interview. PF asked him about the 10 late in the interview and though I can't say for sure what he said I remember thinking he completely dodged the question and started talking about the NCAA. He said something like obviously the NCAA is looking at Auburn and then Finebaum asked him about Alabama and he said that there was no investigation that he was aware of. He could have meant no investigations by anybody but put into context with what he had already said made me think he was only refering to NCAA investigations. Could be my O&B hearing aide hearing what it wanted to but that is the way I remember the interview.
