re: UFC 328 Strickland vs Chimaev

They definitely called it quick but he stepped on twice and while it hadn’t fully settled it was hanging in the middle. I think he was fine on weight. Definitely would have made it without a doubt if he took his underwear off. They created the controversy by calling it so quick. Really a non issue in my opinion
I thought Jourdain definitely had round 2. Round 3 was close. More strikes for sure from Jourdain. Phillips did no damage after any of his takedowns
What did the 9.95 girl screw up on? I wasn’t really watching but heard the announcers talk about a mistake so was surprised when that score came up. Also Dayton on beam looked extremely solid then was sub 9.9. Suspect
Yea the numbers aren’t great but they aren’t terrible. Just have to hit your flexion and extension exercises 4-5 times a day, especially on days you don’t have therapy. Exercise hard but then rest hard. Ice and elevate whenever you can. The longer from surgery, the harder the gains will be so just have to put in the work. Can’t just bend a little, straighten a little. You have to go the max several times a day. Use your strap, do the stair stretch. Put the heel up on a chair to where the knee is extended without support under. Put a 5 lb bag a rice on top and see if you can make it a few minutes. These aren’t fun but you might as well knock it now than have a stiff knee later or have to go for a manipulation.
What is your current flexion and extension? Are you doing the exercises on your own outside of your PT sessions?

Also as someone said, younger people generally tend to have more difficulty with the pain than older people. They cited activity but I feel like it’s more related to decreased pain sensitivity as we age.

Went tonight. Extremely impressed. It’s a great show in person. The pace, the entertainment between innings, the music. Plus they are actually trying to beat each other. 81 year old dude came up and they were throwing heat at the poor guy
In my opinion, Evans is more valuable as a high leverage reliever than in his current role. Just not sold on him as a starter yet. Move Schmidt and Moore up or flip Schmidt to Friday if you think he’s ready. Try to find a 3rd guy to give you 4-5 out innings on Sundays and have Evans out the bullpen when you need him.
Well was he not all over the place in the first inning?
Seems like a lot of parity among the D1 schools. Catholic, BM, Jesuit, Holy Cross all look very close to each other. Were all the teams at full strength at the Louisiana Classic? Just wondering how St. Thomas More holds up against the D1 teams. Seems like they are arguably the best team in the state.

The real concern is somewhere in the middle. The sky isn’t falling but we also aren’t just fine. We need a few starter ready lineman and a handful for depth. Probably need 6-8 total. So some news soon would be encouraging
Honestly I didn’t mind it because we needed to score without calling timeout. Passing was the right call. If we executed, we would have possibly had a chance to get the ball back with around 30 seconds left to get in FG range. Slim chance but a chance nonetheless
I’m still irrationally pissed about that call. No way they should miss that. Especially when he motions INTO the damn backfield

bullshite. Awful call. They even talked about it and still got it wrong

I don’t think it was rigged. Paul wouldn’t stand and exchange. He would dance around and AJ would stay disciplined because the last thing you want to do is open up and give him that one punch chance. Every time AJ would get him in reach Paul would just drop to a knee. What else can you do? As soon as Paul’s legs were giving out and he couldn’t run was when the fight ended.

There were definitely issues at the end of his LSU tenure. I always remember the video after A&M where he called his daughter the wrong name and she corrected him like it had happened many times

Sucks to see him like that

My parents went in college and walked out because they thought it was so bad :rotflmao:

It’s grown on them
When we are on D, we need to run into their coach when he’s on the court
This man came down from Metry heaven to tell us! I’ll allow it
They are not as bad as they used to be. She will likely need some constant assistance the first few weeks. Maybe a caregiver service the first week until she gets settled and sees how much help she needs. Considering she lives alone, I assume she gets around pretty well, so she should make it out fine.

JD Lafleur would be the other possibility but I also could only see the first 4. Unless there is another angle. Hope to see more of the north/south running.
