He's not a good one anymore, either. If he ever adapts like Saban did, maybe that'll change.
A&M gave Jimbo everything he needed to win, and he still set the program back. That's really the bottom line, despite A&M not being a championship program. Good coaches establish and turn programs around. Jimbo's fell off a cliff after Elko left.

Time passed him by.
We need to get there first, if that ever happens. If we can get one championship then staff and others will know what it takes to win it all. If looking at multiple championships this century LSU, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and Florida needed that special coach to get the pedigree started. Only LSU won it three separate times with different coaches.
