Good news is, he can just throw a cup of bleach in the wash with all of this day-glo orange clothing to make it burnt orange.

Unless arrogant tu hires a guy he was "never offered" same goes for recruiting.
We all know the legitimate UT is in Knoxville!

Since the CWS started in 1947, these are the 3 coaches before Pierce, and stats from their first 8 seasons
Falk 1946-67
4/8 made the CWS
2 Championships
1 Runner-Ups
Gustafson 1968-96
7/8 made the CWS
1 Championships
0 Runner-Ups
3 3rd Place
2 4th Place
Garrido 1997-2016
4/8 made the CWS
1 Championships
1 Runner-Up
1 3rd Place
Each of their first 8 seasons
Omaha 4+ times
Top 4 3+ times
Championship 1+
Pierce 2017-24
3/7 made the CWS
0 Championships
0 Runner-Ups
1 3rd Place
This + the staff turnover (for the wrong reasons) + negative player comments + decreased donor support means it’s time to move on..
Idk who they will hire, but the bar is set pretty high.. Baseball has changed a lot over the years. so I think we would have stuck with Pierce if he didn’t have the other negative stuff going against him.. we had a good enough team to win in 2021.
TLDR. Texas is probably moving on from Pierce, the OP is most likely full of shite, and I’m still leaning towards Bakich at Clemson, but Vitello is my #1 if I get to choose.

Vitello would be an idiot not to entertain the Texas job. He was never coming to LSU. I truly believe LSU wasn’t interested. He isn’t spending his entire career in Tennessee I can guarantee you that. If Texas really is calling then I think he goes.

I know you're trolling but most of the Vitello hate I've seen is always coming from LSU fans.
That's because its an LSU centric board and LSU is a huge college baseball school. And its not just LSU fans that don't like the dude. Vitello has turned it down a notch, but he comes across as a remarkably unlikable douche. That said, he is a tremendous baseball coach.

FWIW, OP is a massive troll from his post history so it's pretty clear that this particular report is of no credence.

Texas could buy any coach/player they want. Why they don’t, I can’t comprehend.

Exactly. They are all overpaid to start with. If Schlossnagle wanted to go to tu for $3M, I would say bye!

I have been saying this for a couple weeks. He is perfect for Texas.

Same rumors we had to deal with at SC in 2012. Tanner parlayed taking the offer to go to Texas into the AD's gig.
We should have let him go.
If only. Texas baseball and South Carolina athletics would've both been better off.
But also... what? Augie was "reassigned" in 2016. We wouldn't have been looking in 2012. Are you mixing years?

It would be a perfect fit. They would be the most hated baseball team in the history of the game.
I hope this happens.

That said, Vitello isn’t going to Texas

quote:Vitello is already recruiting lights out and has a $100 million stadium expansion in the works. How do you imagine Dildoland exceeding that? They sure as frick aren't going to dump $100 million into Disch-Falk any time soon. And $100 million buys you a lot more in Knoxville than in Austin.
Because Texas has more support and resources to help Vitello get over the hump.
