Congrats on your win, LSU, but take note that UGA, Texas, OU, Ohio State, Indiana, and Notre Dame would have also curb stomped Clemson.

Maybe. We know LSU did. We can only assume some of those teams may. There’s a big difference.

Note taken, I know Clemson is not the juggernaut that Tennessee State is but.........I'll take it.

NIL and the transfer portal has destroyed the Clemson program. It has been on a steady decline since 2020.

Doesn't do anything for your cause not to call a spade a spade. Yes, Clemson is not good this year. Again. But, it's also not a directional school or some trash program. LSU beat Clemson by that margin?... what do they beat a directional school by?

No. LSU, after 1 game, to me looks like the team to beat this season.

It was 31-3 at halftime and LSU only had 100 yards passing. LSU’s defense is legit but I’m more curious if LSU fixed their offensive line or if Clemson is just terrible.

I’m not saying any of those you listed wouldn’t also curb stop Clemson. But 38 first downs in a single game is stupid no matter who the opponent is. Add that to only allowing 3 first downs before the 3rd string comes in is equally as stupid.

Not anointing them as a CFP lock, but I think LSU is better than any of us (even us LSU fans) thought they’d be. The turn around is wild.

Indiana

That would require them to schedule anyone with a pulse OOC. Hell they got out of the UVA game, before last season, and actually looking solid.

Clemson would have curbed stomped your embarrassing schedule also. Tennessee State and Western Kentucky. Kirby always runs scared.

I’m not saying LSU is going to win it all, but let’s be honest, how many teams would put up 600+ yards of offense, 38 first downs, and have over 90 plays vs Clemson? For instance OU had 401 yards of offense, 18 first downs, and 58 plays vs UTEP. UGA had 660 yard of offense, 31 first downs and 60 plays vs TNTST. It’s not just about the score, it’s how dominate LSU was vs a team that’s better than what most SEC schools faced this week. Again, it’s one game but it was impressive.

They have work to do in the passing game, but it was way better in the second half.

Thanks for calling this type of stuff out.

I'm not saying we're the team to beat, it's a long season. However, some people, like the OP are being disingenuous.
