C'mon. Not even close. Some people here and there may prefer college baseball, but in terms of prestige to the school, national exposure, influence on the general population, etc I'd say a basketball NC is worth about five baseball championships. And a football championship is probably worth about three basketball championships. (Thus a football championship is worth about fifteen in baseball).

Like many of the LSU fans, I will say basketball since I've seen baseball. Passing UTx for second most CWS would be great though. I am more of a college baseball fan than basketball

I would say basketball....our baseball has already won 2 ships, but mostly the program is healthier at this time and IMO regardless of what our basketball program does it will be among the nation's best more often than not....
But our men's basketball program has been down for so long now, I really long for it to at least rise up to annual respectability in terms of being competitive in-conference, having 20-win seasons and appearing at least occasionally in the NCAA tourny. IMO our fanbase would help make it as special as our baseball and football games are.
We're considered a FB school these days, but at one time we were actually thought of as a BB school, back in the McGuire Era. IMO, we can have a taste of both...

How many in this thread said baseball because it's the "SEC" thing to do?
I couldn't give to shits about baseball personally. I'd cut our baseball program for a BCS bowl appearance (not win, appearance). That should answer the OP (if indirectly).
