Which means that the best, most talented players are playing college basketball and football.
Remember Michael Jordan? Best basketball player ever? He tried to play baseball didn't he? How did that work out?

Huh? What does that have to do with what I said?

The most talented basketball and football players play in college. The most talented baseball players do not.

Baseball. And I actually like that most people don't give a shite about it, it's like an underground secret.

I would just rather watch Arkansas go through the grind of regionals, supers, and cws. I enjoy watching postseason baseball more than March madness. Pro basketball is easily my second fave sportbehind college football. But college basketball<baseball.

Difficult. If we could reestablish a basketball tradition at LSU...that would be enormous. But there are very few things I love more than adding years to the Intimidator.

I'm going with basketball. If only because it would actually make me give a shite about NCAAM.

I love LSU baseball, been going since the early 80's and of course love the National Championships

but man having grown up on LSU basketball in the 80's as well, I'd do almost anything to see LSU win a Final Four

That's a bad example though. We all know that was a cover instead of getting suspended.

Baseball and it's not even close. Too bad we suck just as hard in baseball as we do in basketball, though.

Basketball gains a lot more exposure for your school, so basketball.

Too expensive, wood bats are more expensive than BBCOR bats and wood bats shatter on the regular especially with the bad swings a lot of college players take.

Can't afford it at 85% of the schools

This is just not true. I have played in a wooden bat league with college players and it was not more expensive. Do you know how expensive aluminum bats are? It evens out. They don't even have to pay for the bats anyway, do they? If it is more expensive, it isn't by much.

Steven Strasburg is talented; so is your player the number 9 pick in the draft who is currently injured. Robin Ventura, Ben McDonald etc. It's true that most of the true stars of baseball skip college, but some do play.

To those posters who are shocked at the number of baseball replies to the OP's question: baseball isn't (yet) corrupt in the way basketball defintely is, and football sometimes is. We like the purity of it. i've had a blast watching LSU this year in basketball, though. They may not have great talent but they fight hard and it's fun to watch a team never give up.
