There's such a thing as college baseball?

Basketball, because nobody gives a rat's arse about baseba.......
waitaminute, dammit. I GIVE A RAT'S arse ABOUT BASEBALL!
But South Carolina has had periods of excellence in BOTH basketball and baseball, so we can be picky/choosey and want it for both. And so I DO!!!

If you aren't watching the NBA right now, I feel sorry for you. I can barely watch these college basketball games. Only march madness is why I give it the nod.
NBA is a joke these days. If you think that officiating in collegiate basketball sucks, then watch how the officials in the NBA make calls, and you'll have a new-found appreciation for the collegiate clowns.
I used to live for NBA basketball in the 80s and 90s, but now I'll watch maybe the spurs play because they are so well coached, but all the flopping and soccer-drama in the NBA, and the preferential treatment by the officials for the "stars" of the NBA makes me sick.
If the Jewish geniuses that run the NBA would ever get their minds working, they would realize that if the star players are truly legit STAR players, then THEY should be the ones that the officials should call tighter, and let the rookies and lesser-talented players get the preferential treatment: it would make for smoother games, the "stars" would be held to higher standards and therefore truly EARN their high positions, the quality of the game would improve steadily over the years, and the fans would come to respect the game better. But they won't ever make those changes, because they are bound by money-colored straight-jackets of fear.....
As it is, the regular season in the NBA is just a long, glorified All-Star Game season. The playoffs get more serious, but even then there's always shady officiating....

Y'all act like the game can't change. Twenty years ago the same media induced answer wouldve been baseball following the HR chase. Rules and networks adapt, theres a bunch of shortsighted cull bucks showing their arse in here.
Quidditch.

College basketball, while not what it used to be, is still a pretty big deal. Really the only sport that's a big deal nationally besides football.
I'd love to be great in baseball though, but it's far more regional and outside the College World Series the country doesn't pay any attention to it.

I would really like both, but we're a "baseball" school, and I miss the days of kicking arse and taking names.
You know once upon a time, when we were still in the ACC, and even for a few years out of it, we were considered to be a basketball school....

Basketball easily. Few things in sports are sweeter than your school making a run in March.

We already have extreme success in basketball. So my vote goes to football. College baseball just helps kill time until the hellish dead period in the sumner before kickoff. Much more emotionally invested in MLB.

Basketball for me.
But I'm wondering why so many people's responses include what most people in the country care about. Why are your opinions shaped by the preferences of the rest of the country?

Twenty years ago, college basketball was still far more popular than college baseball.

No one cares about baseball. March madness is the greatest 3 weeks of the college sports year.

I'd trade 10 baseball national titles for 1 college basketball or football national title.
Where would you get those?

Hardly anybody outside the SEC even knows there is such a thing as college baseball.
The ACC cares a lot about baseball. They have some very good programs. But, college baseball does seem to be popular only in the south.

I like baseball so I would prefer that more.
If you asked, which would be better for the overall program, the answer would be basketball.

Couldn't disagree more. NBA is a much better product than college basketball, unless you like seeing 55 fouls called in a game. I actually think it's hilarious that you think college officiating is better than NBA officiating.

Basketball for now, no doubt. We want this wish to be realistic, right?BKBall brings more money and notoriety to the overall sports program. Especially on a national basis.
