I can 10000% guarantee people will remember who was in the Sweet 16 over who won the SEC tournament. Just check the ratings for March madness compared to the SEC tournament. It’s not even close son

People hardly even remember F4 finalists…

Depends - to go to a final 4/elite 8? Yes. To lose in the sweet 16? No lol

Same

For Auburn with ISU to play for the elite 8 it'd be tempting

But knowing how our team has performed? Nah, I prefer the title to a S16.

But for the incessant drum beat of Arky fans, who would remember they made the E8 last year?

Avid CBB fans who are in other parts of the country would probably recall that at like a 5% rate

Oh well, I much rather be in the position Auburn is at right now then what it historically has been. It feels good to be a part of the conversation and getting trolled about losing in the second round of March Madness play.

Well said - as an Alabama fan I absolutely agree with this sentiment. Much rather have an early NCAAT exit where you are frustrated but still feel confident that the next year will be another try at it than where we all were in the past - NIT births or worse.

He who goes the farthest in the tournament wins. Conference championships are legit. But they are no substitute for a deep tournament run.

And people surely don’t remember who won the SECR or SECT in basketball.

Auburns season was a failure no matter how you slice it. Bounced first weekend

Nope.

But I think some guy in over his head spouting off basketball facts, especially of a team that just last year ended a 25 year Sweet 16 drought, would know Middle Tennessee has never come close to a Final Four.

But keep pretending you're Billy Packer.

I can probably come closer to recalling who won the SEC titles over the past 5 years than I can who all from the SEC made the S16 in each year and I suspect it is similar for most people.

Hell I know USC made the Final Four a few years ago, I'd be completely guessing if I told you a year

Nope. Our regular season was awesome and we will hang a banner. You’re going to get beat and then what?

Arkansas has zero conference championships and zero tournament championships in over 20 years.

I'd say this kid comes from the least qualified fanbase to talk about either

To be honest, I would.. but that’s an emotional reaction, not necessarily a logical one.

Why is that? I've told you I grew up in Kansas as a KU fan and my dad is a KU grad,
