I’d expect nothing less. TN has been to one elite 8 all time so you really don’t even know what it is.
The kids/recruits and coaches wouldn’t agree with you. They’d rather have the chance in the sweet 16

Good for you, if you need to convince yourself of that go ahead. Of course id like tn to be playing still. But in the end.. if they didnt win it all, its useless. And looking back on the season when all is said and done, if you just made an extra round or 2, no one remembers that. Would rather have a championship

How does a coach get home late Sunday night and scout 3 possible opponents and have a decent practice with guys that played 3 days straight?
There are multiple assistants, analysts, a video coordinator and managers who assist and do advanced scouting

Was not winning any type of trophy this season worth it?

Since 2018, Auburn has two regular season titles a tourney title and a Final Four. I think we’ll be ok.

So in the end Auburn and Tennessee have championships to keep them warm at night and rally the troops for next season. All three have banners to hang for participating in the NCAAT (Ark's banner is better but still a boobie prize). Not a bad outcome.
