Would put odds of football this Fall at less than 50%.

Trying to play when players or coaches test positive and then everybody around them has to isolate for two weeks has little chance of succeeding. Just don't see it happening. But you Baws keep hope alive as Jesse would say.

25%

I think as we get closer to august we will get more and more COVID stories dealing with football specifically

That will prompt them to say the season is cancelled.

I honestly think there are some people who already know this is the decision but they need some type of cover or reason to make the call

My biggest thing is how many games will be canceled even if they try to play. Say you play week 1 and then a team has a bunch test positive. You have to quarantine both teams that just played at that point, so you cancel the games that weekend. It will be a shitshow

If college sports cant be played, colleges and universities should not be held on campus.

Yeah, unless something changes drastically before September this is what I see happening as well.

They'll try to play but it may become like an "exhibition" with the amount of teams at half strength for many games and even occasional forfeits or some teams just pulling the plug on their seasons.

If they make through the whole season, the playoff committee will be interesting when they're considering a 10-2 team #1 since they lost their only 2 games missing 14 starters.

I thought Covid was rough on people 70+ or in bad physical condition. The players are 18-22 yrs old and in supreme physical condition.

Are there stories of the players at Clemson being deathly ill, or more like a cold?

Risk matters. If we were talking about folks in a nursing home I'd agree. But not young men who are strong.

If our leaders were smart (which they are not), the debate would be about fans in the stands. Not players on the field.

True. But you forget about the parents, family, coaches, and other individuals they all come into contact with as well

At some point in August the CDC will say that if you are young, healthy, and don’t live with someone in poor health, then it’s probably better to go ahead and get the virus so you can start building immunity to it.

What I see happening is the players getting on campus and the majority getting the virus and getting over it before the season starts.

And once the players are on campus they will be kept away from elderly and relatives with health issues.

23 Clemson players test positive, all asymptomatic apparently. Does that not clue in anyone to the fact this whole thing is not a big deal?

WE ARE DEFINITELY PLAYING FOOTBALL IN THE FALL.

This virus is no more than a bad flu and the data shows that 99.8% of everyone who gets it will recover with no problem. Do not believe the propaganda.

More people will die if we do not open our country back up now. That includes colleges and football games. No one talks about the deaths that are happening every day that we stay locked down. More suicides, more over doses, more heart attacks and cancer deaths because people did not go to a doctor or a hospital for treatment for fear of catching the virus, more domestic violence, more crime, more depression, etc. No one is talking about this. In their unreasonable fear of this bad flu all they can think about is staying shutdown lest someone test positive. It is pathetic. The fear of this virus has become a greater problem than the virus itself.

You bet we will play football this fall! This is only June. We have a long time from June to September. Watch and see all you fearful hearts. LSU WILL BE IN TIGER STADIUM RIGHT ON SCHEDULE IN THE FALL. GEAUX TIGERS!

This is absolutely ridiculous. We are a bunch of wusses scared of everything. We’d have been better off getting exposed to this sooner and now we’d be through it with immunity. What a cluster frick the cdc has made of this.

Football will be played, as much as today's society is living in fast forward, it really is day to day.

Will their be fans? Maybe, maybe not. But I believe we'll have games. I just hope we find a vaccine soon.

Once we have that, back to normalcy.
