OU is the worst p4 team Auburn has played this year. They won’t upset anybody, and in this specific game Lane will probably run up the score on OU to try and get some positive momentum back for the rebs

Oklahoma has scored 5 offensive TDs in 4 SEC games. I honestly don't know how they're going to score to upset anyone at this point. Missouri may be their best shot winning an ugly low scoring game since Brady Cook may be hurt.

It's pretty rare to have juggernauts on both sides of the ball.

UGA did in 2021 and 2022. Alabama did multiple times during Saban's run. Florida did while Tebow was there

You seem to be proving the point for them. Teams that do it win national titles because it is extremely rare.

Last I checked, OU was in the top 10 highest revenue Athletics programs in the country. We're not poor. You all are top 3 I believe, but given your lack of success over the last 100 years in comparison to OU, I wouldn't be bragging about throwing money out the window on coaching changes...

If you are really honest, not many coaches could do much more than 6-6 with the total lack of talent Oklahoma is trotting out. I didn't watch the game but how in the hell did Auburn lose to them?

If you had one of your offenses from the past 15 years, your defense wouldn't be as good this year.

When you have a really good defense, they crush the offense in practice, therefore the offense doesn't have the confidence to score points when they need it the most.

When you have a really good offense, they crush the defense in practice, therefore the defense doesn't have the confidence to get a stop when they need it the most.

Confidence & Momentum.. especially at the age of these college kids.. plays a huge role in the outcome of every game. It would be an interesting case study.

It's been discussed before on OU boards but mainly more to do with the offensive injuries. I honestly don't see, Baker, Kyler, Jalen, Kaleb or Dillon along with the numerous stud RB or WRs and the hoss NFL OL we've had in the past being intimated by any defensive teammate tho. If anything, it only would've made them better

Doubt it. With all of their injuries, I think he gets a pass this season.
This. Plus, don't think OU can afford to fire him. Financial & PR hits would be too much.

Valid point.. but in a perfect bubble, and the offense is the best unit ever.. and the defense is the best unit ever.. every time a positive play is generated for one side is a negative for the other side..

Those negative's add up to X.. and when an important play is played during an actual game.. how much does X weigh on that players mind? Does it effect his play in a positive or negative way? I would assume that answer would depend on the player.

I suppose if you have all perfect players on offense who get better every time they fail.. and the same on defense.. but that isn't a world we will ever live in. On top of all that, these dudes are 18-21 for the most part.. and emotions get the best of them every single day in every single aspect of their life..

As I said, it would be an interesting case study, if it's even possible since that player would already have positive or negative connotations based on the 1st set of data.

This is a lot of words to not say anything.. but hopefully you understand my point.

Don't forget we're missing our top 5 receivers and have an OL that is lacking and TE's that cannot block to save their lives.

I'd bet my firstborn this doesn't happen.
