Would AAC let Cincinnati win out to get in playoffs?

Currently rank 2 and if they win out we can assume they are in playoffs. Would they go easy on them for the rest of the season to limit injuries and walk into the playoffs to better represent the AAC?

SMU is 7-0 and could be 10-0 heading into a game @ Cincinnati.

I'm guessing they aren't interesting in losing on purpose so a team that is leaving the league for the BXII can make the playoffs.

Nobody "lets" someone win. Thats crazy talk.

Now, if large amounts of money are moved around behind close doors... then possibly. I highly doubt that happens

Notre Dame had one job, beat Cincy
They failed to do it
Do I think Cincy could pull an upset in playoffs, sure they could, they gave UGA all they could handle in bowl game
Does their schedule hold up? Not even close

Cincy isn't getting in unless they are undefeated and two of the five power 5 conference champs have 2+ losses (though their would be a big argument if the ACC champ was one of the three with 1 loss champions). They would also be left out of their was only three 1 loss champs and Georgia only lost the SECCG.

The refs will protect them but no team is going to lose on purpose.

I thought Gus and UCF just answered that?

If SEC fans think their refs are bad then tune in when these two are playing (assuming SMU is still ranked). SMU wont be in on it but the AAC office is going to do whatever they can to keep Cincy in that top spot this year, regardless of where Cincy will be in a couple of years.

Have you watched those two teams ? I think Cincinnati blows them out. I think UC is legit and SMU has played a VERY WEAK Schedule so far.

SMU has a very good offense. Our Defense is bad and slow. That is the problem.

Like when they beat a half-interested, 15 player missing Georgia last year?

Dawgs alone would nuke them by 20+ now, no telling what Alabama and company could do with a shot at Cincy.
