Kentucky and Ole Miss were clearly the worst to me.
You must have hit Kroger Stadium when it didn't have a meat sale going on. Really - how can you complain about any college football atmosphere where you can safely plan on winning as the road team ... and pick up a few groceries as well ?

Can't beat us on the gridiron, so find something else to criticize the program on.

Been to all of them now, but many more recently than others- I need to go back to Athens and Tuscaloosa, Lexington and the Good Columbia (SC)-- those are all at or nearly 10 years removed, save SC.
Bottom 5 SEC Game Day Stadium Experiences- these are so clearly the bottom tier that its hard to take other answers seriously
Ole Miss- What a let down inside the stadium
Mississippi State- If they didn't have cowbells, it would have no atmosphere at all.
Vanderbilt- Experience unworthy of a fun city.
Tennessee- I was astonished; I expected one of the best game day environments and stadium experiences in the league. Imagine you found out Nick Saban used an auto-drafter to play fantasy football. That level of shock and disappointment.
Missouri- I've been to nicer inner city schools with better environments.
Experiences that were better than expected:
Kentucky- Just a really good time at a game. Yeah, the stadium left something to be desired, but it was a very good atmosphere.
South Carolina- Its just a very solid place. You don't expect an experience that good, when they were rolling out Muschamp teamss.
Ever So Slightly Overrated-
LSU- It may just have been O, but it feels like its gotten a little worse each of the last 5 times I've been
Florida- Another case, I think, of decline over time. It was my favorite road visit under Spurrier, but even when they bounced back under Urban it felt joyless.
TAMU- A batshit filled dump is still a batshit filled dump. The newest renovations have put a fresh coat of paint on a bad stadium, but its not truly at that tip top they try to advertise it as being. Its pretty ordinary, but with more Euro-crowd cheer Aggiedom, and no one wants that.

Couldn’t agree more bro—when I think of SEC football i immediately think Kroger Field and the cockaboose railroad.

Legion Field on steroids. Fun hearing 100k hillbillies sing Rocky Top but other than that it fricking blows. Worst gameday experience by far in the SEC
Did you see the Vol Navy? The Vol walk? Running through the T? Pride of the Southland band at halftime? The concourse renovations?
It’s a great game day experience for the fans and a solid mix of history and technology

Also Miss State has to be the worst just based on cowbells alone.
There have to be State fans who refuse to go to home games because of that insufferable bullshite. That’s easily Whistler level garbage.

No State fan refuses to go home game because of the cowbells. Basically they are like the sound of a gun shot. If you are the one shooting, the noise does not bother you.
Same with a cowbell, when you are ringing it, the sound does not bother you.
Simple solution, just become a State fan and acquire a cowbell and start ringing it.

Ar their best, Vanderbilt, Mizzou, A&M, and Kentucky are the worst/most overrated

All of these things are really disappointing in person, save the concourse renovation, not knowing what year that was and whether one's most recent visit was before or after.
'The Walk' is done by essentially every SEC team in some form or fashion, so its not going to impress. Everyone has a band, usually of similar qualities. The Vol Navy was simply a less impressive version of the Cajun Navy wearing duck hunter orange.

You wouldn’t recognize Commonwealth Stadium/Kroger Field now.

I worked with a state fan for years off and on. The cowbell stopped being brought to work on game days when I rang it for a Tennessee TD, then filled it so when he rang it no sound came out. Good times. Nothing like a group of 8 well armed guys watching college football and talking mad smack.

Mizzou is by far the worst fan experience in the SEC, and the only thing that comes close is cowbell. With James Franklin Vandy's stadium was slightly better than the mississippis and yours.
So you take Vanderbilts best teams against a pretty bad run for Mizzou. This was a pretty damn good environment and we had a lot like this in the Big 12. Maybe people just can’t get up for SEC teams because it’s new and not natural. Maybe we just haven’t been that good recently, but I will put this environment against Vandy or the Miss schools any day.

Both Mississippi's, and Vandy are worse. Its on par with Uk's, and right behind Arkansas.

We grow up going to games and hearing it. If the cowbells are silent it usually means we’re getting our asses kicked.

Yeah, ok, that was pretty decent and better than Vandy.
But, Bruh- y'all should strive for more than that though. It's a huge gap between Vandy/Mizzou and the others. I'm just surprised y'all had a whole end zone renovation that looks like you did it about half size. Meanwhile the other end zone is a rock M... I'm sure that was charming 60 years ago.

The renovation was more for the facilities, which are actually really good. Look, I’m not going to act like I love the stadium. I would put seats in and take out the M. Maybe the new AD will agree. Who knows.
