Matt Luke is the worst ever, closely followed by Houston Nutt.

Knile Davis going down with an injury during August practice really hurt our chances of winning the SEC that year. He was the SEC leading rusher the year before and only played half the season. He was Darren Mcfadden level 5-11 227 4.37 but injuries hurt him.

Petrino had overachieved in some of those games that year because of no threat in the run game. So he had to compensate by using other players like Joe Adams in jet sweeps.

The 2011 had the better record but the 2010 at full strength was superior.

He’s not worse than Morris.
He took over an Ole Miss program in the shitter and kept things together/

It is still Willie frikken Taggart. FSU was 1 year removed from an Orange Bowl victory over Michigan. Taggart ran the wheels off, through the ditch and the program in a river. If and I mean if Norvell can bring them back, it is 5 plus years.

Not only did you miss the point of his post, but you posted two questions and two statements all in one run on sentence.

I thought they told us that Coach O was the worst coaching hire in history.

How'd that work out

Hahaha. Now this is a good, ole fashioned dumb LSU fan.

Y’all were calling for your AD to be fired - and worse over that hire.

Worst coaching hires at each SEC school that I can remember(1979-present)
Alabama-Mike Dubose
Auburn-Doug Barfield
Arkansas-Chad Morris(Jack Crowe a close second)
Florida-Ron Zook
Georgia-Ray Goff
Kentucky-Joker Phillips
LSU-Curley Hallman(not bad when it happened but turned out bad)
State-Joe Moorhead(just a terrible fit. Felker and Croom right behind)
Missouri-Bob Stull
Ole Miss-Coach O(wasn't ready at all)and Matt Luke
South Carolina-Brad Scott(Richard Bell a close second)
Tennessee-Derek Dooley and Butch Jones
Texas A&M-Mike Sherman(strange hire and bad fit)
Vanderbilt-Rod Dowhower

Jumbo bears a lot of the blame too. The wheels started coming off on his watch.

That is why he bolted for A&M. His seat was just a little warm and so he got ahead.

I wouldn't put Mike Shula
Few would. He wasn't that bad given the situation.

He was strapped with sanctions, assuming the job and trying to assemble a staff late into the year, no prior HC experience, and injuries to the original glass Bama QB and of course the dynamic Prothro among others didn't help. Yet, he still brought in some good talent and even managed a 10 win season (take notes Ole Miss) in the worst era of Bama football since the 50s. If not for taking so much blame for having Prothro in that UF blowout so late, the inability to beat Auburn, and the raised expectations of a Cotton Bowl win (over Mike Leach's Tx Tech Raiders) followed by a 6-6 season, he may have gotten another year.

I'd rank Bama coaches (post-Stallings) best to last as:
1. Saban

2. Fran
3. Shula

4. Dubose

5. Price (never hire a Wazzu coach who made a living on mediocre results in the PAC12; they are only good for off the field headlines... oh wait...)
