So the athletic department shouldnt be on the hook for allowing football players to abuse other athletes and not investigating even though the law says they should? If covering up rape and abuse to keep athletes on the field isnt lack of control for the purpose of winning.... i dunno what is.

No, the current players and coaches shouldn't be punished for something some administrators were involved in, most of whom aren't even at LSU anymore.

Not sure why you insist they should.

I stated facts, you've yet to give any sort of valid response to said facts. You just state your opinion back at them. Do you have sources? Are you citing anything?

Negative.

John Paul Funes is a POS that should still be in jail. He was paying people for no show jobs using OLOL foundation money (not sure where you got that it was a church) and receiving money back from them as a kick back (referred to as money laundering). Yes some of the people that recieved money had connections to the LSU football program, whether it was in the past (Davey) or present (Vadal).

The thing I have yet to see is that there was any connection between these payments and someone in the LSU football program. I would imagine if an LSU staffer lined up a player to get paid by Funes and then Funes asked for some of the money back that would set off alarms.

I'm not denying that LSU players get paid or am I saying that I have a problem with LSU players getting money (I hope they are). I am saying that I don't believe that the OLOL case is some massive player pay scheme that is going to get LSU a death penalty. It was one guy that was greedy and saw a way to steal money for himself.

Apologies. Had to go back to working as a lawyer in the real world for a bit.

Your fallacy is missing the fatal flaw that:

quote:

The football program has admitted to a major, Level 1 violation involving illegal payments of $180,000 for a no-show job to James Alexander, the father of a former LSU offensive lineman, Vadal Alexander, who was a starting tackle and guard from 2012-15. This amounts to an illegal recruiting benefit for Alexander, who was recruited by and played for former LSU coach Les Miles.

There was an obvious connection. This was in my previous post. Please post facts and not make self-serving fallacies when there's facts to completely dispute it.

Doesn’t mean that LSU is admitting that the payment was approved/setup by LSU. It means that LSU did find that Vadal’s dad received money from Funes for a no show job.

I have never left off the fact that Vadal’s dad received money. You however do continually ignore other details on the Funes case. Such as Rohan Davey’s mom also receiving money and paying a portion of the money back to Funes. Which to use a law term establishes a “pattern of conduct”.

You really are a terrible lawyer, if you actually are a lawyer.

Some of this will get resolved over the summer resulting in LSU getting hit with Lack of Institutional Control.

LSU had zero knowledge of Funes scheme. He recruited like minded criminals he happened to meet because he was a booster. But you don't care about the facts, do you.? So let me say that nothing will come of this.. We will still be there to kick your lizard arse...even if you stop throwing shoes.

Y’all are crazy if you think anything else is happening to LSU football. Sorry forevergator. We already implemented our bowl ban and took away eight scholarships. Sorry it just happened to be during our shitty arse year last year. LOL. Lady of the lake included a players father who was only paid $10,000 by a rogue booster and that player had not played in 4 years for LSU. There is no pay for play game going on here. But to be nice we went ahead and included a little bowl ban to make everybody happy. Now, why don’t you go find that shoe that Wilson threw to frick up your whole season last year buddy.

Les Miles has been fired, our Prez from then fired, our AD from then has been fired.... and we implemented the bowl ban and scholarship reductions. There are no more heads to roll for this. When it comes to football. As far as Wade goes you got to have proof buddy. They can’t find proof and that’s why this has been going on for three years now. He isn’t going anywhere. We comin bitch.
