An excellent source is saying Childress will be out, who are Aggies targeting? The TTU or Michigan Coach? I’m going TTU guy, but would think the Michigan coach would be a better hire.

I’m sure we’ll swing for the fences. Tadlock, Schloss, Vitello will be at the top of the list. None seem likely to me, but people who know better than I say otherwise.

Tech coach is a tech grad
People on here think Schloss will leave do not understand the advantages of coaching private schools like Vandy, TCU, DBU, Tulane, etc. They do not have to report like public schools.

You think Paul is leaving 3-4 years on the table? RC has no contract after the final game.

Whoever we want

quote:. That’s the rumors from people around the program. We could be seeing both coach their last game at their respective schools Saturday after next if LSU flops these next couple weeks. It isn’t likely for Paul since they will very likely be in the SEC Tournament.

I think that talk is people trying to push Paul out. 1.225 mil through 2025. He can take a lot of crap from y’all for that amount.

I’m not sure about that. That’s not all that much because the fans are done. We will see.

You are just now realizing that Childress is out?
He's in the final year of his contract.

Didn’t appear to be trying too hard to us.

He’s paid well, however teams in the SEC already paying a million+ would take him in a heart beat. Van Horn and Corbin are the only two that make over a million a year that would not take him. LSU and Ole Miss would drop their coaches quick if they were able to get McDonnell. I’m sure Carolina, A&M, and others would as well

Paul is retiring of his own accord. Although there is pressure for performance.

He has about the same record as Maineri this season. LSU fans are finicky. The guy at Tenn is making <500k...

Names I’ve seen pop up:
Erik Bakich (Michigan)
Matt Deggs (Louisiana)
Dan Heefner (Dallas Baptist)
Brian O'Connor (Virginia)
Jim Schlossnagle (TCU) *Interestingly, folks don’t seem nearly as high on him as in years past
Tim Tadlock (Texas Tech)
Tony Vitello (Tennessee)
