CNMFS would have Bama in the SECCG in his second and third year at Bama?
I will be honest and admit that I didn't.
When we hired CNMFS, I said that I just wanted to play for SEC Championships again, and we are doing that for the 2nd time in his 3 years.

I thought they would be competing on a high level in his third year. Last year was surprising. Two years in a row is impressive.

Damn dude, you need to raise your standards. We're paying the man $4million a year, he better win us at least one BCSNC.

Now he needs to win the one today to complete his legacy as one of the best coaches of his time, but he is going up against the most decorated player maybe of all time. Should be a great game, hope we win it.
We're due.

What Saban has done at Alabama is nothing short of incredible and as much as I can't stand him, have to give the devil his due.

fully expected given the talent shula left him with and the talent he was able to recruit. oh, not to mention he's a damn good coach.
honestly, i thought he'd be winning SEC championships and bowl games. kinda suprising he hasnt yet... but i think this is the year for that.

If we keep making them, I agree, but to run into these 2 Florida teams makes it incredibly hard.
And I haven't forgotten the disaster that was the dumbass Dubose, Fran phony, drunken mike price, Shuler disaster 7 year embarrassment.
P.S.
Why can't we ever play a UGA or Tennersee in the SECCG?

Alabama's success has as much to do with how LSU, Auburn and Tenn. being down as does how good they are.
And yes this was pivitol in our 2003 year also

Agreed, but I do think that the large reason for their success is the influence of the Dark one. He's a good coach.

You my friend are obviously of German ancestry, as that was the sad and pathetic excuse of butthurt Tiger Nation from last year. You are the first one to use it this year so congrats.

My old roommate swore to me that Saban would have a national championship within 3 years at Bama. I might mention that everytime my roommate has sworn upon anything, he was wrong.

LMFAO, you mean the one 5* we had. Shulers recruiting was smoke and mirrors and the reason players like Luther Davis, who really needed a redshirt, couldn't be.

I didn't expect it in his second year at all. I am so proud he came here and has us competing again. I am proud of what this team has accomplished and hope they can win it all, but it is going to be tough to get past this Florida team. I believe they can do it, but it will take some luck and a lot of discipline. I will be dissapointed if we lose, but it won't make me any less proud of this team.

We beat Florida with Tim Tebow playing. Why can't Bama beat them?

I'm mixed on this one. Looking at the '05 Shula team, I thought for sure they would be back competing for the rest of the decade. Then, I saw '06 and '07, and figured not.
'08 and '09 are truly a surprise. Both equally as surprising.

I love the mentality of the coach and the team. From the way they conduct themselves in interviews, and behavior on the field. All the way to the smash mouth gameplan we have. That's football to me, and Bama represents what I like to see in a football team.

Well we get a shout, unlike LSU, at UF in the SECCG, and we can. I was just saying that it would be nice to play like a 3 loss Tennersee.
