Next year we will suck as much as a team can possibly suck, after being so good for so long.

We lose ALL of our team leadership and 75% of our starters. We're frickED.

If we make a bowl game, I'll be amazed.

I hope that's sarcasm. Alabama actually loses less off the 2011 team, than they did off the 2009 team.

I don't drink. And you're under-informed

We lose an unbelievable amount of talent to the NFL this year. You're an idiot.

That's why you recruit well. No one is saying Alabama will be a top five team in 2012, or compete for a national championship. But this monster isn't falling off a cliff either.

I can't imagine a team worse than the one we have this year.

Bama will be 3rd or 4th in the west. however that also means they will still be a great team as the other 3 or 4 teams will probably be top 10 bama will be top 20

A lot better, competing for the SEC again.

We lost 4 first round draft picks off last year's team.

We are stacked with talent. It will be inexperienced talent next year, but if you really think we will be lucky to go 6-6 then nothing I can say is going to help you.

Alabama can, and will, compete for the SEC West in 2012.

We lose most of the defense and some good offensive players too. It will be a "down year" by Bama standards for sure.

Next year's schedule, after losing the following starters: Jared Cooper, Brandon Moseley, AJ Green, Neiko Thorpe, and Barrett Trotter (not really losing him, but he will not start).

quote:

2012 Auburn Football Schedule:
Clemson (Chick-Fil-A), vs Texas A&M, @ Miss State, bye, OOC opponent, vs Arky, vs LSU, @ Florida, @ Ole Miss, vs McNeese State, vs Georgia, vs Alabama A&M, @ Bama

Wins in italics...
Toss ups underlined...

I see 9-10 wins next season for us.

If we aren't better, Dooley might be looking for a job.

LSU will be good, but they'll be back to QB issues in 2012. Arkansas will be replacing their WR corps and some key guys on defense. Auburn is bringing back the most, but Alabama has AU at home (save the 2010 comments). Split LSU and Arkansas on the road, and beat Auburn at home, and Alabama can win the West with a young team in 2012.

I like the 2012 team because of the line play. Nearly everyone will be back on the OL and DL. Just have to find a new center and NG.

I don't see a gap in recruiting at any position. This years class is shaping up to be another great one on top of the previous five great classes. Where's the weakness? It won't be as good as this years team but I don't see a big fall-off and I certainly believe the teeam will compete for the west.

Tex A&M are in the top 10 again in recruiting.

They will be competitive. They will be as good as the piggies.
Its not like you had them all the way this year. You mounted a nice come back. You were down a ton though.

Personally, I think Mettenberger will be better than both Lee and Jefferson.

This is why I labeled it as a toss-up. Should be a tight game.

They can, I don't see it happening. I think LSU wins the West and maybe the NC next season. I could get pretty crazy around here if so, because they have a shot at it this season, too.

Inexperience, but that didn't keep Alabama out of the question in 2010. Save what you will, but Alabama was five points from winning the West in 2010. Sometimes it swings your way, sometimes it doesn't. It just all depends on how a young team responds in 2012, but I like the veterans that will be back. They are in key spots.
