The Georgia fans that have posted seem to unanimously agree that the answer is "no" since the school cares more about academics than athletics.

We have not unanimously agreed to your last point. At all.

UGA fans, stop getting trolled. No matter what facts you bring to our case it's not going to matter to them

To be honest, I really don't see UGA even winning a SEC Championship any time soon.

-We were a blown call away in 2OT in teh OSU/Illinois game from going in 02

Yall act like Richt is some shithead who has never even come close. We've come extremely close, multiple times.

Georgia lost to USC, and was blown out by mediocre Tennessee in 2007.

Auburn was 2 seconds away from actually winning a title, not simply getting the chance to play in the game, in 2013. Does that mean anything? Nope.

You can take up for Richt all you'd like, but it isn't doing Georgia any favors.

Might wanna look in the mirror. With Barn, Bama, and A&M raking in classes coming out of the West is a much bigger task than coming out of the East. That, and your team is Bama's bitch.

To be fair, I don't agree with his post, in the slightest bit. And there is absolutely no proof to suggest that it was correct either.

We have discussed this on the Georgia Sports Board. I don't expect all of our fans to agree but data was presented that reveals that UGA spends less per player than any of the other Big 6 SEC teams. We are not competitive in 2 out of the 3 main college sports. I try to maintain an objective perspective. I have never heard anyone in our administration state that the goal of our AD is to win national championships. Meanwhile our academic standing has steadily improved as well it should. I call'em like I see'em. I know you do the same. We just obviously see the situation differently. That is fine with me. Regardless, Goooooooo Dawgs!! class of '75

Is the link you posted of CMR's win-loss record and your sarcastic comment supposed to be some sort of refutation to my point that you've become desensitized to losing?

The last time Georgia won an SEC title:
The human genome was not yet completely sequenced.
Twitter didn't exist (nor did the iPhone).
Saddam Hussein was still alive.
Pluto was still a planet.

In light of the above, you seem genuinely content. I guess always coming up short is okay if your coach really cares about the players and does things the right way

That being said, our team is still able to compete year in and year out in the hardest division in the land.

OK, how about this? If AU can strike gold and win a NC, so can UGA.

I think the difference here is that AU has a coach who made Cam Newton into one of the best QBs in college football history.

UGA has a coach that would have preferred to play that same monster of a QB at TE.

Are you insinuating that Richt might be racist? I think you are. However, I agree.

Mostly likely since only 1 team wins the college football championship each year. Objectively, winning athletic championships is not a priority for our admins. Their priority is education and improving the academic standards of our university as it should be. As long as we are competitive and the money keeps rolling in this won't change. UGA has one of the most profitable athletic departments in the nation.

Think how much more profitable it would be if you guys ever won something.

Coach Richt is most certainly not racist. This is just a ridiculous suggestion considering the vast majority of our players are black. What he is likely suggesting is that Richt did not recognize Newton's potential in the QB position but this is also ridiculous since apparently only Malzahn saw the potential. I think this speaks more to the insight of Coach Malzahn and a fit in his read-option offense than anything else.

Alabama outgained Auburn by about 100 yards, but both offenses scored 28 points. One of Alabama's touchdowns came off a short field, so it was practically a defensive score. Either way, Alabama's offense did not outscore the Auburn offense.

I like these new rules on the realtive worth of different types of scores and which touchdowns count and which don't. So much more intuitive than the each touchdown is worth 7 points (PAT assumed) that BIG FOOTBALL has been shoving down our throats all these years. I'm glad we're liberated from the rigid valuations of scores that are obviously the product of horseshite, sorcery, and sheer luck.

Why do you think Richt passed on DESHAUN WATSON and opted for Jacob Park? Seems weird to me.

Having black players at other positions isn't the same. The QB is the one in command of all of the other players.
