Objectively, winning athletic championships is not a priority for our admins. Their priority is education and improving the academic standards of our university as it should be.
Do you honestly believe the priority of Georgia's administration and athletic department is any different than other big time football schools?
If so what is Georgia's administration doing differently from other schools to de-prioritize winning and prioritizing the education of Georgia's football players?

Our administration would rather put money into the Rankin Athletic Academic facility than into the football program. Former President Michael Adams started this crusade when he arrived as President. So far it looks like Jere Moorehead shares the same vision. Alumni groups love it, but we have a HUGE sidewalk fanbase and they don’t give a shite if the players attend class. Much less study at the Rankin facility.

If you’re ever in Athens, stop by the Rankin. That will answer your question. The place is one of the top academic facilities in the nation. I use to sneak in there all of the time to use their resources. It’s unreal. Compare that to that Indoor closet they built a few years ago at Butts-Mehre

I guess Mike Shula and Mike Dubose are ancient history for you 15-yr olds.

I can't speak to other athletic departments but based on data presented here in this forum, UGA spends less per player than any of the Big 6 SEC programs.

See above. But I would add that it's not really reducing the priority of winning it's just that based on resource allocation and the lack of public statements by our admins, winning national championships does not appear to be a priority. If our priority was winning national championships:
1. Our admins would state this as a goal, they haven't.
2. We would be spending more on athletics which we aren't again based on data presented here. We would be building an indoor practice facility to keep up with other top programs in the SEC and we aren't.
3. We would decrease the harshness of team rules for instance relative to drug testing and penalties for violation of team rules like other SEC programs.
4. We would get rid of the UGA campus cops like Auburn did or at least dictate a decrease in the harshness of enforcement which our admins could but don't. In fact that have intentionally ramped up enforcement to make our campus safer and a better environment.
5. Get the best coaches money can buy which almost certainly is not Mark Richt but I would add that CMR is the near ideal coach for our environment. Mark runs a clean program and is a great public relations representative for our university.
Say what you will but our administration manages our university differently from some of the win at all cost SEC schools.
