Not with this type of stuff usually

He just stays very noncommittal. The fact he’s not doing that means it’s likely done

To be quite frank, I doubt most LSU alum expect it to be Woodward. Why would he leave aTm to go work for F. King alexander and this crazy arse BOS? Alma mater notwithstanding, no one wants to work in that political cesspool. Until there are changes all the way up the chain, I don't expect to see a strong national hire.

If Woodward leaves for LSU I won’t blame him. It sucks, but congrats would be in order. (I prefer Alleva’s incompetence though...)

But IMO Woodward will be revered as doing a good job for the 2 highest profile hires while he was at A&M.

Interesting. Maybe LSU actually got its ducks in a row before crossing the Rubicon. Would be a nice and refreshing change of pace.

Herb works for the SEC offices now and has for I think 6 or 7 years at this point. His reputation when he was here is very good. Normally I would agree with you but I’d be happy with Herb. Verge on the other hand I do agree with you. If it’s Scott it will be because he wants to come home.

Unfortunately not. He did say there is still a window, but it would have to be a pretty big momentum swing, and he expects it to be done this week.

If billy is using the kind of tone that hes using right now, it's going to be Woodward

The melt would be minimum because we're upgrading no matter what happens with or without Woodward.

Woody's home is here in Baton Rouge. We are his peeps. But my peeps live 1500 miles from me too and I'm not moving there. He has everything he needs at A&M to have a successful career. I expect he considers LSU and turns it down. Regardless of what his choice ultimately is, I like him and respect him and Aggies should too, even if he leaves. He's far more competent than anybody we've had here in a long time.

FWIW The Liucci with Texags is saying Woodward to LSU is almost a done deal. He doesn't normolly go out on a limb with things like this, so feel free to send over the list of recommendations the Tiger Rant is compiling

Interesting. Now i'm genuinely intrigued as to what he's saying.

F King will definitely have to give him some major assurances about his autonomy and it will have to be in writing. I think he would definitely come here if he trusted the administrative support but if I were him even as an LSU guy I would have my doubts.

He’s made two awesome hires and generally done a first class job. I will always respect him and I think you’d be hard pressed to find an Aggie who feels different
