It's about the INJUSTICE of cops getting off with practically murder.

How many protests or outrage have you see for this when it happens to any other race than to black people by whitr cops? It's completely a one sided movement. For example, a white guy I know got shot in the face at close range in Baton Rouge by a cop while he was passed out in his car. The local media didn't even mention his name until he sued the police department.
quote:

If you murder someone, you should be held accountable and not hide behind the shield of law enforcement.

It should be and it should apply to all situations equally. But, again, the protests and awareness is only about when it's a white cop and a black citizen.
quote:

You see it's very simple, but yet you have people that want to change the narrative to fit their distorted views.

It is very simple. People like Ryan Clark, Stephen A Smith, Shannon Sharpe and Charlamagne can go on TV/radio/social media and call white people racists with no repercussions at all. At the same time Drew Brees, Brian Urlacher and the commentator last year that said the football gets hidden on Lamar Jackson's arm get this unbelievable backlash. shite, the football does get blended into Lamar's arm and black uniform. What that guy said was 100% true and he got blasted. Drew Brees was answering a direct question and got blasted.

There's very little about the protests and this movement that is about true equality which is what I am all about personally.

That’s all well and good and I do get it, the message that is. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it either but on the flip, saying all lives matter doesn’t equate to someone wearing a white hood. I mean, you can call it ignorance of the message if you wish but it’s seemingly gotten to a point where that innocent phrase is now bad and hateful. And if you think about it, that’s freaking ridiculous.

It's all about the Message you receive. You see as a Black Man, 6 months ago here in Baton Rouge I was pulled over by a white cop for driving suspiciously. I was driving 45 MPH in a 50 MPH zone. Now, when I stopped I asked this cop, why did he pull me over because I didn't violate any traffic laws. I didn't run a red light, I didn't make any illegal turns, I didn't make an illegal lane change, so what's the problem. His response to me was I was driving TOO SLOW for him so it looked suspicious.

Now, not only that by the time this conversation ended, I was surrounded by 3 more other cops. Now, I was eventually allowed to continue on my way home, but it's shite like that is what the BLM is all about for me.

If you think what you just typed out is exclusive to black people, you live in and only visit echo chambers.

That near same scenario has happened to me at least 3 times that I can think of off the top of my head. I've had my car searched and I was frisked on the side of the road when I didn't break a single traffic law.

And that's exactly my point. IMO it shouldn't be just what happens to you as a black man. It should be about improving for everyone if it's all about equality. I have no issues at all with the movement itself. We should all be striving to be better. I'm simply saying that it's not promoting true equality.

Good job, that platform has done nothing cause a breakdown of civil discourse and create more division.

I don't have the opportunity to delete my account since I never had one to start with..

What race does this NOT happen too? The same thing happened to me. Driving too slow. Cop pulled me over. When he approached my car I didn't started questioning the cop. Just said "What's up?" Said I looked suspicious driving too slow. Told the cop I couldn't find the road I was looking for, then he gave me directions. Maybe had I started questioning the cops integrity like you did, my encounter could have gone differently.

I guess the truth that the police look for certain things in order to keep the public safe doesn't sound as good as the narrative you are pushing. Maybe next I can tell you about how the cashier would watch my friend and I when we went into the gas station when we were kids. And we were both white upper middle class kids. So you can strike that one off your talking points too.

I’m sorry, but since when has that NOT been the mindset ?

Have you ever had to fake your own death in order to leave a city because of the threat from the local police department because you were a leading member of a civil rights movement in that town?
