Will ND get in at 10-2 over a 9-3 SEC team this season?

I doubt the SEC has as many 10-2 or better teams this season but ND is now guaranteed a playoff spot if top 12 I heard. ND has an easy schedule but if they are # 12 while an SEC team is # 11 at 9-3 ND would get the last playoff spot.

If that happens a 10-2 notre dame team will get in over a 9-3 SEC team.

Ole Miss, Oklahoma, maybe Texas are the only realistic SEC teams with hard enough schedules to get in at 9-3 imo…

LSU, Georgia, and Bama depending on how a couple of their scheduled opponents do could end up with the strength of schedule to get in at 9-3.

1) The committee will make sure ND isn't going to get in at the expense of a team ranked higher. They'd maneuver to put ND at #13 in that case.
2) 10-2 ND is not getting in and should not get in. But I don't think a 9-3 SEC team would be the beneficiary. The seven at larges in that hypothetical would probably be the two B1G / SEC runner ups and then five of any remaining 10-2 / 11-1 SEC/B1G teams and 11-2 ACC / Big 12 runner ups, if either/both have that record. I doubt it'd get all the way to any 9-3 SEC teams.

That likely means losses to Miami and BYU. Which leaves limited opportunities for quality wins if any at all.
I think the committee would 100% leave them out in favor of an SEC/BIG 9-3 team with both quality losses and quality wins.
I’m also in the camp that thinks ND will be legitimately very good this year. Which pains me to say.

I don't think the committee would move ND down in the last rankings unless they had last year's head to head situation (which they also had pressure to get an ACC team in unlike this years rules). There is a real chance a 10-2 ND screws an SEC team over depending on the teams in that area of the rankings.
I do admit if the losses were Miami and BYU a 9,-3 SEC team would beat them out most likely.

Notre Dame should not get in at all if they go 10-2 with this schedule. Miami is the only challenging game they play.

Even the committee would have a hard time explaining a 10-2 ND over a 9-3 TX as TX would either have an OSU loss and a nice SEC record or they would have a big OSU win and some good SEC wins. I guess the committee could just say well TX was ranked #11 over them but those are the rules.

Yep BYU and Miami but the rules say if top 12 they are in so the argument will only be if they should be ranked higher than the # 13 team unless the highest G6 champion is undefeated and in the top 12 of the rankings as that would let the top 12 SEC team and ND in.

ND schedule is absolute dogshit. They only play two games with a pulse. BYU and Miami.

Nothing about this committee has shown they'd favor a 9-3 P4+ND team over a 10-2 P4 + ND ranked team. SoS simply is less important than wins.
ND would be 11 in that poll over the 9--3 SEC team.

Damn what a bunch of sissy britches figs. No one knows if nd is good, or the teams on their schedule are good. Manifesting problems that don’t even exist is wild.
