LSU doesn’t care about winning pee wee football championships. They only care about putting players in the NFL.

I get not wanting to get hurt before the draft but what is the difference between skipping the bowl game and just skipping the last game of the season? That game "didn't matter" in terms of bowl berth or winning record so if you're gonna be like that then why not skip the last game of the season too?

Never said or heard anything about the bowls being meaningless although some really are! I'm cool with players leaving early if that is the right decision, but hate that these guys aren't playing in the bowl game (Quitting on their teammates)! Screw them and screw you gump!

I think this particular player has been injured for most of his career.

I hate it for him, but I think his knees are in really bad shape.

My guess is he is hoping to earn some money via football (at least practice squad or some lower tier league) for a few years before they give out on him.

Hope the best for him.

The LSU fan base has been repeatedly and obnoxiously chanting "bowl is meaningless game" and they all "should take the money and run." Well, LSU players have been taking that advice more than any other team the last few years, and now it is a stampede for the first available exit.

Right.

Bartoo just made a good point on the radio:

UGA vs Hawaii was the last time a Power 5 team actually showed up to play one of these games

He's an injury-prone player tho... Hasn't played a full year since coming to LSU. Always "hurt"...
